They don’t ease the launch, they just don’t have the torque we do. 502 tq isn’t going to launch like our 634 lb/ft.And just to rub salt in the wound, Polestar 2 Perf Pack upgrade reviews hitting now. Upgrade available OTA to older 2s as well. Polestar is clearly easing the launch the first 30 mph and then letting it eat. That’s the 1/4 mile trap speed the GTs should have been hitting.

Insane torque explains why our 0-60 is so good.
Trap speed is an indicator of the horsepower and how we should be if Ford didn’t cripple us.
A fair question could be: would I give up 130 tq in order to keep 480 hp all the time?
Honestly? No. If I had to pick one, I would take our brutal acceleration up to 70 mph vs decent acceleration all the time.
I really want both. But if I had to pick, I’ll keep what I got.
