ill give you they look better without the areo part.. they remind me the taurus sho wheels from a few years back.. hated those. not a fan of these... The PE wheels look better IMO
I agree, but those PE wheels will take a half hour per wheel to clean. I'm to OCD to put myself through that. The GT ones will be a breeze to clean..

That was great, but man the first thing I'm going to do is switch off that propulsion sound. I may be the minority in this but I think its a bit ridiculous. My current daily driver had something VW called a Soundaktor which would pump artificial engine noises through the speakers and I found and unplugged that little bastard on the 2nd day of ownership. I don't know, I like the appeal of a whisper quiet vehicle that can still slaughter most other cars out there. I don't need an artificial tone to tell me I've stepped on the accelerator.

It's a good cue to your passengers, and may help if they're prone to motion sickness.

I have mine on right now even when driving alone. It lets me know I'm being less fuel efficient... Sort of like a little angel on my shoulder telling me to calm down while the bad actor on my other shoulder yells with rush hour traffic induced aggression. ?

Just watched the video...that is a very uncomfortable amount of torque steer. For the GT did they just rework the front motor? Wonder if there's too much front bias power.

Thankfully it can be switched off :), I don't dislike the idea of having the fake audio feedback when you push the go peddle and while I won't make a final call on sound until I hear it up close, but the mach-e fake sounds is just not very EV IMO, one of the things about an EV is having a motor that spins up to a high RPM fast so the sound needs to reflect this, which going from the video the mach-e sound just doesn't have this and is more akin to a low reving ICE not an EV motor that spins to over 10000 rpm :(.

Naturally all fake sounds are going to be very subjective so manufactures are not going to please everyone, even though with it being fake they really should have different options, of all the fake ev engine sounds so far I like the porsche taycan the most as it has that fast spin up characteristic one would expect from an EV motor especially when it launches.

No, the front motor in the GT is different than that of the other trims; it's the same size as the rear motor. And on the GT it's a 60:40 rearward bias compared to the other trims' 50:50 so I'm not too sure why this driver struggled to keep it straight.

The lack of sound is one of the things I like best about the ME. The big V8's roar at the same speed as I wisk on by silently. Something magical and confidence inducing about that.

If you watch the driver, it was clear he was intentionally doing that zig-zagging. Racecar drivers do that to get a little extra heat in the tires before a run for better grip.

I agree. Fake motor sounds are just annoying to me, on an EV or an ICE vehicle. Especially on an ICE vehicle, it's like you already have a motor and exhaust, why are you putting fake noises into the car? If it's not loud enough for you get some performance exhaust and listen to the real thing.

On an EV part of the fun to me is just that pure silent crazy acceleration.

I just don't know how I feel about the Miko on the doors and dash. Maybe it's something you have to see in person, since I've never been in a car with Miko it kind of worries me. Maybe someone else here that's owned Miko interior can calm my nerves. I'm definitely happy they didn't go with a Miko steering wheel.

Also intersting that either it doesn't have the copper piping in the doors and dash, or maybe the light doesn't make it look copper?

Edit: I think they are copper and it's really downplayed and not super bright which I'm also happy about. Hilariously in the computer renders my wife said the copper piping and stitching accents looks like something someone would put in their ghetto cars. LOL. I was like I don't think you've seen many 6 figure sports cars lately.

I did not take these pictures so I can’t comment on the copper color until I go and see it myself this evening. I’m also glad they didn’t put suede on the steering wheel. It’s a pain to maintain and very likely will look terrible after a few years, based on my experience with suede wheels on Camaro 1LEs.

Oh awesome, I didn't realize you were actually there. Do they allow you to take and show full video and everything too or is it all embargoed right now? Either way I'm super excited to finally see some actual GT interior, and I'm more excited they didn't just go with the Performance model since car companies usually only show the most expensive model and you don't see anything else. Ordering site unseen and waiting months has had me a little worried with how different the two GT models will be compared to Premium models.

Interior maintenance and detailing should be interesting, I've never had to clean suede before.

Man I was hoping the GT and GTPE were going to get the suede on the bottom steering wheel insert. That looked good.
