With a reduction in tax rebate, down to $3,750 and probably around a $4,000 price increase you could be better off if you can find a 22 with a reasonable ADM like @Mach1E suggested. I hate ADM but it may be a better deal for now. Also although things may get updated they may also take away options as Ford did on the 22MY due to supply issues.

Ford has not announced pricing for 2023 vehicles yet I bug my dealer every day for the maverick hybrid pricing

No way we will know yet but I would expect probably an average of 10% increase on the MSR. Every vehicle and option for 2023. Perhaps more on electric and hybrid vehicles because of the battery issues

The real question…. is they’re not going to be able to create all the 2022 Mustang mach e that are on order so what happens to that pricing everyone thinks it’s locked in but what if it becomes a 2023. Cars are sitting at dealerships not being delivered because of the stop sales event the factory is pretty much waiting

I expect both of my February 2022 pre-orders that have not yet been announced to be built to perhaps become 2023s

Given the recall, if you don’t already have a 2022 on order, just wait because I would never…. Like ever… pay 15-20k over msrp for a car, which is what the dealer in my area is asking. I currently have a 2022 select AWD order, that may or may not become a 2023. Even I am considering postponing to a 2023 order; but that is because I would have liked to have ordered a premium ext range but that option was not available at the time.

Thanks for the suggestion. But the sad thing is i cannot find a dealer who does not take ADM. So i am planning to go with 2023. Its hard to go for 2022 what i think.

There are 2 dealerships in Nor Cal that doesn't do ADM. Get on their list and be ready to leave immediately (same day) if they call you that something is available...I think it's Morgan Hill and 1 other someone else here should know the other).

Look further than Nor Cal. There should be plenty of Select's around that dealers ordered that you can either negotiate or pay minimal ADM. I wouldn't wait for 2023 personally if it was me since the car will go up in price (even with a drop in tax credit I think) due to supply/demand issues.

I hope you all doing good. Juat wanted to know that Mache E Select 2023 will be starting online order from next month August 2022. So should i go for 2023 Mache E or should i buy 2022.

Wait for the 2023. That model should have the newer software and not all the other issues that the 2020-2022 models have been dealing with.

There are no 2020 models.

And the 21-22 seem to have the same issues…… and end up with the same software/features from updates.

If I was going to wait, software would not be a reason to.

True, I guess the models sold in 2020 were classed as 2021 model year, but what I was meaning was all the cars sold between 2020 and 2022.

I’ve given up on my nationwide search for a 22 MME. Any that I’ve found on a dealer lot or a cancelled customer order will have ADM. Hopefully Ford will have some of the kinks worked out by the time the 23s come around. I figure that only a small portion of owners are online discussing their issues with the car and the numbers are much greater. Ford is going to struggle through this between dealing with lack of dealer service knowledge and parts shortages. Not getting the current rebate will be disappointing, but not paying the ADM is a sticking point for me at the moment. I’d rather pay Ford more for the car than the dealer because it’s not all the same to me.

While you can stick to your principles, it’s your money.

Keep in mind that waiting may cost you even more when the tax credit is reduced then goes away completely over the next year.

Then it’s the government getting more of your money.

Personally I’d rather a local business get my money than the government.

Ah those were the days, seems like yesterday I was holding out hopes that my Dec 10 build would get here in time for the 2020 tax credit.

I also remember Tesla confirming my order on 11/7/19, reserving the Mach E on 11/17/19, then cancelling my Tesla order on 11/29/19.
