With no preconditioning, my Mach-e’s been averaging 96-98 kW on new EA 350kW chargers between 20-80% SoC. I routinely get average speeds of 68-71 on EVgo’s 100kW chargers. Temps have been more reasonable lately, around 40-45F.
Same here really. I hit 135 for 10 min last week in Tucson on a EA 350 in 45 degrees, no preconditioning. Good nuff to get home.

There is also some new info (MachLee and others with OBDII data) that because the passenger cabin heat is on the same coolant loop as the big battery, there is potential competition. That a valve selects whether heated coolant heads to the passenger cabin or the big battery (and switches back and forth regularly to serve both).

Thus in very cold winter conditions if you are trying to keep yourself warm be aware the preconditioning may be less successful since less heat gets used to warm the big battery. So, when you are 20 miles from the charger you could switch to just use the steering wheel and seat heaters and turn off resistive heating for the final stretch and let the big battery get 100% of the warm coolant.

So I tried preconditioning by putting a destination to a fast charger (the one I'm going to is new so it's not on the map yet so I picked another DC charger 5 miles away. Car Scanner says it uses almost 7 kW to precondition the battery. Ambient temp is 50F, battery temp went from 63F to 70F in about 5 minutes. Sceenshots below.

That's consistent with reports of energy use for preconditioning at home. I remember reports of around 7 kWh for that as well.

I charged at a new Electrify Canada in Red Deer Alberta this morning for 18 minuets. They have 6 chargers all rated at 350 kwh. It was just below freezing and I couldn’t precondition because the charging site isn’t on the Ford nav yet. I charged for 18 minuets and got 14.5 kWh. Crazy slow. Was showing 45 kWh on the screen while charging. Also the price of $10.00 is ridiculous. They advertise 90 kWh you pay $0.27 and anything faster you pay $0.57 kWh. Bottom line is I was very disappointed in the slow charge rate. I contacted Electrify Canada and they said they would look into reimbursing for the high rate charged to me. This isn’t how you encourage people to switch to BEV.

You don't have to put the exact charging station into the Nav, just put another DC charger that's close by.
