hey brother, which trico would you use for the front wipers?
Im not sure. I haven't looked at replacing front wipers yet. I will likely use the same size they came with just in some high end one.

I had the same issue OP did with the back one which is why I sought out a longer replacement.

I have a Select with no package, the only thing I would have liked to have was the cargo cover everyone hates haha. I don’t care for folding mirrors or electric hatches. For $35k after rebates, I have zero complaints.

Good morning everyone,

I realise that the rwd is the base model, but it doesn't come with a base price. I expected and should have researched before committing to one ,that some items that are included in much cheaper cars are missing.
Folding mirrors, for starters but also the non powered, manual tailgate that I have become used to.
I think the rear window could do with a longer wiper, a couple of inches at the top would help. The rear camera is useless unless very clean, it gets dirty very quickly, maby it's in the wrong position.
That said, if that's all I can find to complain about it must be a decent vehicle and it is. I am now firmly an EV driver and convinced that we made the right decision.

huh, well to each their own....

I wanted a 'basic' model on purpose, and would have gone for a few more basics if the AWD had been available in a trim with less 'comfort features'. I got the basic Select (AWD) and SR battery trim on purpose. 200 mile summer range is plenty for me and I didn't want to pay more or carry around the extra weight of the ER battery. I chose to avoid auto-folding powered mirrors and tailgate. I don't want all those extra parts, switches, and motors. I would have gotten cloth or microsuede seats if they were offered, and I didn't really want or need heated seats or steering wheel. I would have much preferred lighter non-motorized seats if they had been available.

I sure as heck didn't want to pay for extra cameras, sensors, and driver assist features/alarms I will never use. I would have preferred a simpler, lighter, less expensive 'base model'.....

Test drove and will be buying a Select AWD with the comfort and technology package - I think it's great and almost a must-have. I would have preferred a "premium" but they are just too difficult to find in black and without any dealership markups (pure greed).

I live in the northeast and heated seats are a must. So is AWD. I view this car as a luxury car and couldn't imagine it coming without some of the technology and creature comforts found in the upgraded package.

It drives me bat $hit insane that my mach e gt performance doesn't have any lights on the garage door opener inside the car. You can't see it at night and it's a pain to find. My 12 year old prius has this basic...

I have a black Select AWD with only all weather mats that came as an ā€œoptionalā€ package. I bought it off a dealer lot on a whim. No mark up or anything. They had two there. I will say, I did a little research on it earlier on and a bit more before I went out and got it. I wish it had the comfort and tech package, but it was either getting one on the lot with a price that works for me or ordering one. I’m in PA and those heated seats and steering wheel would’ve came in handy. I just wanted to take advantage of trade-in values. I’m coming from a ā€˜18 Wrangler Unlimited, so it made for a great deal on my MME. Overall, I’m very happy and love the car, but can always ā€œwishā€ I had more.

The OP is in North Lincolnshire, England. It’s RWD or AWD versions there.
The OP admits he should have done his research. My question is why is he complaining about it on here? It was his choice, and not a shortcoming in Ford’s available model line-up.

The 2021 UK models had two versions of both the RWD and AWD. The standard range battery editions came with very little extras, but the extended range models came fully loaded with all the toys including power folding mirrors.

So he just needed to buy the RWD ER to get what he wanted.

Posts like his just wind me up - if youā€˜re spending Ā£50k on a car at least spend 30 seconds to look at the website to see what you are buying.

I quite understand. The post I made was in answer to another American though who didn’t understand the trim lines are very different in the UK and EU.

Sorry Bill - wasn’t digging at you - I was just expanding the detail on what you’d said … and then I drifted into a rant LOL

No worries. Your point is a good one.

I generally try to stay out of the UK discussions unless they happen to tangentially touch on something familiar to me, such as my mother’s hometown (Ayr), or where most of my cousins, aunts and uncles live.
