Howdy,

Just tried out the NACS adapter at a local Tesla station and it worked like a charm. Entire connection to charging process seems much faster than the typical EA "plug&pray" process.

But something that I wanted to see was the speed of the charge (kWatts) and I'm not seeing anywhere on the MachE screens that shows charge speed. In the past, when I couldn't find this, I could at least look at the EA kiosk and see the rate. But the Tesla Kiosk has zero info/display, so you only get what the car will show you.

Is there somewhere in the various car displays that I'm missing that shows you charge rate? I went to the "Charging" button/screen and it showed the battery and range, but not charge speed. Center drivers info was also just %age info.

I did find it on the Ford app, but I don't really consider that a valid way to see what is a pretty basic piece of information.

Any pointers on where I can see some charge info during a fast charge session? I'm hoping I'm missing something pretty obvious....

Nope you cannot see kW anywhere from the MME itself. You can only get the kW speed from 3rd party apps or FordPass, that's it.

It's been an issue for over 3 years now.

I don't dc charge much but on fordpass when car is charging, and you click on "energy" I believe, it shows the charge rate, you say you don't trust the rate but I've no reason to think it's not accurate, the total kwh delivered is not.

Ha - I can see reading my post that way now that I look at it again.

I trust what the app was saying - no reason not too.

I was saying that having to use a phone app to see what the car you are sitting in is actually doing didn't seem valid/correct/appropriate to me.

Hard to believe that charging info would be so limited. I wonder if it's some misguided attempt to avoid "overwhelming" a typical/non-technical person with "too many numbers". If that is the case or not, this is the first EV I've been in without such a basic piece of charge session data.

Ford listens to their customers. I’d say their capacity for listening is unmatched. For 3 years the MME community has been griping about the lack of kW charging info in the car and Ford has listened to us the entire time!

For realsies though, Ford Pass app shows the charging speed and the latest update also includes Tesla’s real-time cost for the charging session.

it' a valid point. But I know early on Ford has wanted to push people to PAAK and fordpass, I'm not sure that's ideal.
