That's strange, I've connected up my 280ah LFP batt directly to batts in both of my fords and ran a days worth of updates with no issue. I keep a LFP in my F150 and its resting voltage is 13.3v. I've done extensive testing to determine the logic of the worthless BMS and have found how to keep 12v generation alive. The PB F150 has the same 12v logic of the BEVs with identical charging system in that it uses the 220a DC/DC to power the 12v system. In order to keep 12v generation alive while the key is on, the keyfob must be in the vehicle and the HVAC blower motor must be set to position 5 or higher (and the doors closed).

Are you talking about accessory mode or full ON mode?

camera through a peephole on huge screen (only 4 inches wide)
I don't think you're missing any functions on that one. Apparently that's how the surround view was designed. God knows why.

Key on, engine on
It might drop down to 12.9V at times, but mine stays charging the whole time it's fully ON. That won't keep a 4S LFP charged...because the BMS voltage set points are designed for AGM not LFP. So I don't think you can really blame that on the BMS being faulty when it's expecting a different battery chemistry. If you want an auxiliary battery then you maybe should have gone with an AGM, or isolated it with a LFP charge controller.

If you closely watch the 12v strategy it goes between charging and consuming the 12v batts (with AGM installed). I have no issue charging the LFP as I've discovered how to keep 12v supply on constantly. The LFP has its own BMS. Considering AGMs can float in the mid 13s, there's no reason that in key on engine on that 12v output should be showing as low as 12.8v, if not flat out consuming the 12v batts. While in this mode I've seen the DC/DC outputting a fixed 6 amps which is worthless when the vehicle systems are consuming between 19 and 26 amps.

Mike, any chance you could take a look at the updates on my vin again and see if they've gotten anywhere? It's been two weeks and I really haven't heard much.

Still waiting. This Tuesday will be three weeks. Escalated within Ford. Dealer tells me there is a tech coming but they don't know when. Customer support says the same thing.

This is exactly why when my dealer said it would be over a week to get my car updated, which was WAY behind on updates, I bought the equipment myself and did it. Took 15 hours to fully update and that was with me constantly monitoring progress and starting new updates.

July 25th and still no progress or timeline. Went in because rental was expiring. They told me I keep it as long as it's being repaired. I asked about possibly getting an electric rental and they said that's up to Hertz. Went back over to Hertz, they added days on my rental and said it's Ford policy I can only get a Ford. No Hertz has any Ford electric cars. This sucks. Part of my purchase was made figuring the savings on gas.

Didn't know what else to do since Ford Dealership can't help, Ford customer service can't help, and there are no timelines, so I find a complaint with the attorney general. I feel like a jerk but I'm not sure what else to do.

18 Jun '21 build date, Job 1 car.

Here's the list of available software updates:

I'm not really sure what they're up to right now.

I see in the session log that they've expressed an interest in three of the modules involved in cruise control (CMR, CCM, and IPMA) but no actual programming of any updates has taken place. As you can see by the log below:
3FMTK3RM2MMA38472-27-Jun-23Work.png

Any lines in the session log prefaced by the term "PTS:" is the tech or a service advisor looking up procedures or information in the companion system to FDRS which is PTS. In normal circumstances when a module is updated that item in the line sequence becomes a hyperlink that when selected expands to show the dialog text and the techs responses to each dialog choice. No updates have so far been attempted that I can see. If you take note of the lines for the CMR, CCM and IPMA and look at the timestamps they all start and end in the same minute. Which means if the tech selected them...he or she then backed out before actually doing anything.

Let us know what the outcome is.
45 days later and when I called today they stated they were following directions from tech support about updates. Any chance you could run my Vin again and see if anything is actually happening?
