Is there any detailed soure of info on the MME mechanical systems? I've found nice phots of the motors and battery pack. But how about:
1. What does PARK gear do? If I put it in Park when I'm still rolling, it locks up and rocks on its suspension.
2. What is Low vs Drive? Lust requires more pedalmovement for a given acceleration?
3. What does the electric parking brake do and why/when would I use it?
4. Where is the differential? In the motor(s)? Is it all in the electronics to keep a free wheelfrom hogging the power?
5. Does Parking Assist work on my MME? I've seen posts that indicate it may be a feature taken back.

THOSE kinds of thigs
TIA

5. PA was removed in spring of 2022 and was no longer an option in 2023. I doubt it will ever be back.

  1. Park engages the park pawl in the rear drive unit which locks rotation. Works the same as a car automatic transmission.
  2. Low adds additional regen when you are coasting.
  3. The electric parking brake actuates the rear brake pads to hold the vehicle stationary. You should use it when parking on an incline, just like any other vehicle.
  4. The differential is inside the motor/drive units. It is an open differential with traction control to prevent a single wheel from spinning.
  5. Parking Assist only works on 2021 and early 2022 Mach-E's. The feature was removed during 2022 due to chip shortages.

So nobody answered your first question so I will. No, besides asking here or other sites on the internet there is no one stop shop for "detailed sources of info on the MME mechanical systems".
