My MachE GT’s headlights are acting up. Specifically, the head lights will either not shut off when I turn off the car or they somehow magically turn themselves on in the garage. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked out in the garage to find the lights on. And, no, the key is not in my pocket and it is very far away. It’s a straight up malfunction. To remedy the situation, I have to manually turn the lights off and leave them in the off position. Such a PITA.

I love this car. Literally love it. But the list of piddly crap I’m either putting up with or overlooking is getting long and old. From trunk lids not opening with a foot swing to the cruise control randomly resetting to apparently whatever speed it thinks is appropriate to satellite radio needing five minutes to engage every time I turn on the car to a list of about a dozen other things—it’s f’ing getting old.

This is an expensive car and I expect better. Rant over.

Twice eVee announced a text message, I'll hit the steering wheel button (Instead of Hello Ford) and ask it to read the incoming text message and the sync screen will spin and spin. I hit cancel and from then on, nothing. If I hit the steering wheel button, no response. Nothing.. if I hold the steering wheel button eventually Siri will pop up (not configured) but it shows the button works, the volume can be turned up and down, but no sound comes out, so not AUDIO OFF as I've also been randomly getting.

The Profile button still worked, so I was able to bring up the USB drive and start playing music and the volume worked, but I eventually needed to to a Sync Reset while driving as (Lucky Me) I hit all green lights before the highway so no chance to turn off the car. (And with all my screen glitches I don't know why I didn't think of a reset before this time)

Basically, I get it. I have so many little things that pop up it's very frustrating. The profile not matching the FOB/Phone, I've had my Sync screen factory reset (Not Sync reset, not Master reset, but Factory reset) three times now along with all the module updates etc. they 'felt' 'could' 'possibly' 'help' with the situation of my Sync screen.

It's annoying I figure I'll just do a Sync reset every Monday on the way to work and hope nothing glitches before the next Monday.

It's the same issues over and over, why doesn't Ford not only READ this forum, but actually do something about the mess. I've had Ford ask for my VIN and info so they can 'get to me in a few days' and after at least a week, nothing.

Hi there! Can you send us a PM with your VIN and Ford dealership information? I’d be happy to look into this Mach-E concern on my end.

I just don't understand all these issues with items that have been around on other Ford vehicles for years. I mean auto headlights have been around for a long time and the foot activated power tailgate has to be close to a decade at this point.

I’m absolutely not mansplaining the trunk lid issue, but I’ll tell you that I’ve found the sweet-spot to be a kick straight in and back directly under the left half of the license plate. It’s maybe only failed me once since I started hitting just that spot.

It's a $35,000 car sitting on a $25,000 battery.

We're dealing with $35,000 car problems, not $60,000 car perfection.

Pretty much.

OP, sounds like your car just forgot what position the headlight switch is in. Switch it position and put it back on auto.

I love the full blast heat for no reason and really love the minutes it can take for the radio car play to sync and then do the driver 1 2 3 options to get the stations to actually work

Yeah, I had a lot of open/close failures kicking under the middle. Almost no failures to open/close kicking to the left of center. I’m left foot kicking now. ?‍♂??
