Good to know. I hope we don’t have to deal with anything like this again, but I also live in Denver and drivers around here are questionable so at least I know I have another route I can take hehe

I would stay with 3rd party to avoid claim record, especially when allstate is a big firm. For small repairs like these, they won't spend much time trying to screw you. You should do what I did, I found a shop that is Tesla certified. If they are certified to work on tesla, you know MME is a piece of cake for them. all the calibration work will be done at dealers anyway.

What you need to consider now, is if you want to pursue a Diminished value claim. Will there be an accident record in carfax?

I can relate to your experience with the insurance claim! Dealing with insurance can be a real headache sometimes. I had a similar situation with my cycling insurance a while back. You’d think having insurance would make everything smooth, but nope, it’s like they have a secret club of making you jump through hoops!
When my bike got stolen, I thought, "Great, at least I'm covered." But then came all the forms, the back-and-forth emails, and the endless waiting. They asked for so many details that they made it up as they went along. And when I thought I had sent everything they needed, they'd return asking for more. It was almost like they were hoping I’d give up!
Ultimately, I got the payout, but man, what a process! It made me rethink my insurance altogether.
