Before they prioritize anything with blue cruise can they prioritize the software update fix to reenable my Blue Cruise?

Or Better yet, bend the knee to Tesla and have them do your software….

@Ford Motor Company ,

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration regarding the lack of updates and communication surrounding the BlueCruise feature in my Ford Mustang Mach-E. As a loyal Ford customer, I have eagerly awaited the promised updates to this technology, which were initially announced to be available by the summer of last year. However, it is now well past that timeframe, and there has been no indication of progress or communication from Ford regarding this matter.

I purchased my Mach-E with the expectation that BlueCruise would provide me with the latest in hands-free highway driving technology, including features such as Lane Change Assist and In-Lane Repositioning. These features were touted as enhancements that would significantly improve the driving experience and safety of my vehicle. However, despite the promises made, there have been no updates to BlueCruise since its initial release, leaving me feeling misled and frustrated.

Furthermore, the lack of communication from Ford regarding the status of BlueCruise updates is concerning. As a customer who has invested in your brand, I expect transparency and accountability when it comes to promised updates and features. The absence of any communication on this matter only serves to erode my trust in Ford as a company that values its customers and their needs.

I urge you to prioritize the development and release of the promised BlueCruise updates and to improve communication with your customers regarding the status of these updates. As a leader in the automotive industry, Ford has a responsibility to deliver on its promises and to ensure that customers are informed and satisfied with their purchases.

In conclusion, I hope that this letter serves as a reminder of the importance of delivering on promises and maintaining open lines of communication with customers. I look forward to seeing swift action taken to address these concerns and to experiencing the full potential of BlueCruise in my Ford Mustang Mach-E.
Seems like a waste of of digital ink

I question whether they're having issues with the delivery, versus prioritizing the delivery over other things, like updating the vehicles for Tesla...

It seems like there were real problems with the delivery of 6.8 and 6.13.

Some people got 6.8 and had to get their cars towed. Some people got 6.8 and had no issues.

Some people got 6.13 and lost Bluecruise 1.0. Some people got 6.13 and had no issues.

I don't think the IPC and CMR updates were ever pulled from FDRS so it would seem like Ford thinks the software is fine but for whatever reason the OTA delivery did not go as planned in all cars.

It seems like I remember the initial Bluecruise 1.0 rollout had issues. The same modules would need to be updated. It would seem that those modules don't update OTA reliably.

The modules updated for NACS support are different and don't seem to have the same reliability problem when updating.

I hear you, but how many months have gone by since they had those issues? Going on 3.5 months. I'll bet that "you MUST turn on Tesla before February ends" pressure that changed priorities.

I'm new around here and so acquiring a 2023.5 GTPE, I am fortunate to experience BC 1.3 out of the gate.
So wouldn't that technically have Ford beating Tesla?

Or is the contest only for Mach-E's that shipped with BC 1.0 and waiting for 1.4 OTA only.

(OTA only meaning FDRS is cheating)
Yeah, they could have at least upgraded people to 1.2 instead of the constant string of "here comes 1.2...no wait, we're working on 1.3 and you'll just get that....well guys, we missed some uncommunicated deadline for that, now you're just going to get 1.4".

So we're here over a year later from when 1.2 was announced...and still stuck on 1.0, all the while Ford is just waiting in the wings for subscriptions to run out and string people along to the tune of $800/yr to not deliver any substantive updates. Oh, and my driver nanny cam stopped working back in January so I've had BC 0.0 (with the "trial" ticking away) since then.

Needless to say, Ford isn't getting a dime of my money when the "trial" (shouldn't even be a subscription) expires.

I opted to forgo the $600 subscription for 3 years when my trial ended 12/31/23. I am finding it less stressful to just to use Lane Centering and ACC instead of the wonky and unreliable Hands Free BC 1.0 that I still have to this day since the dealer would not update me for that when I had the HVBJB fix in January. It is remarkable that Ford felt compelled to send a hard postal letter last summer that the real finished product BC was coming soon and that it still languishes today.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
