I agree. Buy the A2Z adapter. It really opens up the options and provides some charger redundancies where none have existed before.

For trip planning I use the built in navigation, ABRB, Apple Maps, PlugShare and the individual charge point operators specific apps e.g. EA, Tesla, ChargePoint, EVGo, and other regional operators like Francis Energy (here in the southwest). I do the initial planning and layout my route and stops, then consult PlugShare and the specific operators apps to determine if the possible charge locations are up and running and available. I do most of the planning in my head but I may make a few notes on my iPhone when things start getting complicated.

I also look at the weather, especially the predicted winds and temps, elevation gains etc. and plan my route on the conservative side with options for alternate stops if things do not go as planned.

One of the things I always do when I reach my charger destination, I review the planned next stop and make changes as required.

My biggest issues have been in and around Southern California cities where I have found many CCS1 charger locations to be overwhelmed. The length of your proposed trips are fairly short so I would not be overly concerned with range anxiety.

If you are spending the night on the road, check for hotel/motels with level 2 chargers. Get the Tesla Tap or as stated above, the A2Z version for Tesla destination chargers which are more common than the J-1772. As a last resort, I always carry my 120/240v portable charger with an assortment of adapters and a 50 foot 12 gauge extension cord just in case I am stuck somewhere without access to anything better than a 120v outlet. Another back up option here in the Wild West are campgrounds with NEMA 1450 outlets for RVs. Not all campgrounds with RV hookups allow RV charging but many do.

Safe Travels

To follow up, a couple weeks ago I drove from Indianapolis to Ann Arbor and back. Did not end up having any problems or close calls with range. I stopped at the Meijer in Fort Wayne on the way there. Thirty min, give or take. On the way back, I stopped at the Meijer in Ann Arbor (horrible), at a Level 3 (edited) charger in Jackson (which ended up being very good - 20 minutes) , and Ben Davis Ford in Auburn (20-25 minutes).

All in all, no issues. Though, I cannot wait to get my adaptor from Ford to open up many additional options.

My next trip in December will be to Madison WI.

Of course, I am the moron who fell for the conversation with my dealer when I obtained my MME...
me: "do you have an adaptor for Tesla chargers"
dealer: "Oh yes."
me: "can I get one before I leave"
dealer:"well, no. all you have to do is fill out this on-line form and they'll send it to you"

Research folks. Do your research.

There is an EA in A2 and Tesla with Magic Dock. You picked poorly.

You don't mean level 1, which is 120v.

Plan future trips with ABRP.

You won't have your adapter by December...

A2ZEV makes the Typhoon Pro adapter for Tesla SuperChargers. It sells for $189.00 ($170.10 after using code FORDFORUM). They also sell the Stellar adapter, which is for Tesla Destination chargers (such as hotels, private homes). It sells for $111. If you pick use the dropdown menu on the Typhoon Pro page to pick the Stellar adapter also, the combined price is $270.00 ($243.00 with code FORDFORUM). In other words, it’s only $72.90 more for the destination charging adapter. They are currently shipping quickly. I have both adapters and have used both many times. They work great. https://a2zevshop.com/products/nacs-ccs1?ref=Typhoon&variant=43186507579592
