NEVI program updates

Recently, checked with the Indiana DOT website to see if anything was happening with their roll out of the DCFCharging Infrastructure program. They are making progress. They expect to go out for bids this Fall, with construction starting in 2024 and 2025 depending on the highway.
Also, a check of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (administering the VW ("diesel gate") trust fund) has contracted with some Indiana utilities for installing DCFCharging stations at some 61 sites. They expect their installation this year. How many chargers at each station was not mentioned. The chargers were described as between 125 and 175 kw units. Both websites had maps of proposed locations.
Those of you, in other states, may want to check in with your state DOTs for their progress. The comments on the websites made clear some states are further advanced than Indiana.

Oregon is making good progress but these always take longer than we'd like - it looks like things don't start going into the ground until early 2024.

Dieselgate fund were distributed 3-ish years ago. States like Florida have basically done squat with it (20 stall Orlando hub funded by it - is only half-built after 3 years and might get cancelled since Ace Cafe closed it's doors nearby) so I'm not expecting NEVI funds to be quickly distributed and used.
