New efficiency record 5.6 mi / kWh

Driving home from New England back to central NJ this weekend, I hit a new efficiency record.

This was highway driving with BlueCruise on, after an hour and a half or so behind the wheel.

Gotta love the CA Route 1.

It's not. But Ford's software can show all kinds of numbers that aren't possible. At that consumption rate, the car would get 509 miles on a charge. That's not happening.

This photo was taken around the midway point of a 150-mile trip starting in western Connecticut and ending in central NJ. This first part of the trip was on 50- and 55-mph state highways, using BlueCruise the whole way.

The average efficiency for the trip as a whole was 4.3 mi / kWh. The second half was on a faster interstate, which brought down the average.

Could be real. 50-55 mph constant is about right to maximize range. I can get 4.5 with just a slight downhill or tail wind on 20 plus mile drives in Premium. I bet you had a decent tailwind for this trip as it doesnt seem like it would be mostly downhill from CT to NJ.

From my experience while you are driving the this trip efficiency is accurate. It only goes to shit when you review it later in car or app.

I see people posting 4 miles per kw too. No way in heck I can even get that.

The best I get is 5.1, going to the supermarket. On the highway using BlueCruise I don't think I've gotten more than 4.1.

Can you give us the phone number of the truck that towed you half the way ?
