The TestFlight invite from Ford to join the beta doesn't have an NDA or confidentiality listed in it, but TestFlight terms say you agree to confidentiality:
You may want to reread your email (if you’re in this supposed “confidential beta”) Note: not the email from Test Flight. You would have received another email before that:
Please keep in mind that the testing of FordPass 5.0 beta is to remain confidential, and any violation could result in your suspension or termination from the Ford Early Access Program. Please refer to our program terms and conditions for more information.

Correct, I am obviously referencing just the TestFlight email as I stated. You can get the invite through other means than just signing up through the prior email, which would have made it so you didn't see the first email.

It doesn't really matter, TestFlight has a confidentiality clause anyways. And who cares.

I've been in many betas and very rarely do you actually see people yell at leakers for leaking. It feels like the anger is really coming from the groups that have access to it vs those that don't. And those that do want to keep it "exclusive" and feel like only they're special enough to test it.

I've never seen so much policing from non-employees over a company's beta. Usually this is exactly what forums love - leak us the details please! Yet here, we are all standing up for Ford when they do jack crap for us LOL.

I was originally on the that train, but it is clear we're just doing their job for them on this yet they can't do their job for US. I mean, our most prominent advocate and helpful mate @DevSecOps got fully let out to dry. I've had to deal with 2 HVBJB swaps and still mums the word on what the heck is going on on multiple failures. Frunk Button still not out OTA for those that haven't gone to a dealer, not even a customer satisfaction program for it. Level 2 charging is completely bunked and Ford is mum on that. Yet people want to "protect" people from breaking a confidentiality agreement over a beta of an app.

All good points. I will concede that I may have a slightly different perspective on “confidentiality agreements” due to aspects of my career, than most people have.

Im starting to see WHY we don't wave to each other . CHILL OUT people . Him posting isn't costing you a dime nor is it ruining YOUR early access or keeping YOU from getting and using betas .

*facepalm* why do y'all care so much about obeying to the letter some dubious corporate NDA BS - of questionable legality? Seriously get a grip - if someone wants to talk about their experience, let them. These are not trade secrets.

I swear the next time someone quotes a boilerolate confidentiality clause, I'm going to... to... taunt you a 2nd time!

I mean, it was a monty python reference, but I won't object to a Simpson's meme thrown in for good measure :)

Much ado about nothing, including FP 5.0 and the Apple Watch app. Leak all you want, dance around the confidentiality agreements in which ever program you may or may not be in all you want. Almost everyone on this forum claims to be an adult, you know what you’re doing, failing to do, or not doing. Just be aware of the potential consequences of a real violation of an agreement. Ford really does monitor the forum and it’s not all that hard to figure out who is who if they really want to.

As for those complaining about alleged, perceived, or actual confidentiality agreement violations, sometimes letting a thread just die due to lack of response and interest kills the alleged, perceived, or actual violation discussion off very fast.

Maybe a good old school meme is best.

Guys, I think I need to clarify again that I'm not in EA. Discussing leaks I've heard of does not violate anything. We are just discussing this in the forum.

The FP beta isn't technically part and parcel of EA, although I presume most of the non-Ford Employees involved in it are probably also in EA. They'd all be covered by a separate NDA. This may or may not apply to any discussion of FP 5.0 on this forum or in this thread.

I'm not under any NDA or participating in any pre-release software testing. I swear to God, the forum has been so stingy these past couple of weeks on even mentioning anything remotely EA.

See! You mentioned EA again. ;) :p

And it was really a general comment rather than directed at anyone in particular. :)
