I emailed the program administrator and they confirmed that MSRP is the value of the vehicle and does not include D&D fees. Based on the old pricing I had only reserved SR, but with the price reduction I just added ER to my reservation. Very excited!
I am seriously considering this change as well. Don't really need it for daily usage and/or commuting, but, will open other options like visiting son in college without having to charge on the way or just use our ice alternate.

We are in the same boat... this car will be my wife’s, and she doesn’t have a lot of commuting other than school, events, etc. Our son will be going to college next fall and the extended range could come in handy - fewer stops.

Has anyone confirmed x plan pricing in NNJ? My guy at American Ford says he doesn’t know but because of the price drop he probably won’t. I haven’t signed anything with them yet but he’s trying to get me to sign a docusign.

No, but for close to $1000 you could come down here to Medford Ford in Medford, NJ.

Maplecrest Ford of Union was dealer I selected. My order shows dealer price same as MSRP ($54,700 for Premium LR AWD). I asked them about incentives, X Plan prices, etc. and they replied:

'The initial deposit you placed with Ford, which was forwarded to our dealership can be refunded, if you decide not to place an order. Once an order placed on a build to your specs, an additional, non-refundable deposit will be collected for that build to be started.

When the vehicle arrives at the dealership, we will look at any current incentives Ford may have placed on the Mach E. If there are qualifying incentives when the vehicle arrives, we will capture those qualifying incentives. As far as special program pricing, this has to be acknowledged when the order is placed."

Hope that means I can get the X Plan discount - and maybe by the time I order they'll be able to apply the NJ $5,000 rebate as a discount to the final price.

I picked that dealer initially as well. But, I couldn't get anyone on the phone for weeks. Couldn't get a call back. Mail boxes were full. They are close to where I live and though I had not heard great things about their sales department, I thought I would give them a try. I ended up switching to Maplecrest Ford of Mendham where I bought my current ride, 2015 Edge Sport. I am glad for you that they are now responsive.

Maplecrest Ford of Union, NJ seems to be another example of why people hate car dealerships. I DO NOT recommend anyone dealing with them.

Upon placing my (tentative) order, they were VERY responsive. Salesperson, internet sales team all responded quickly to my emails.

I decided to cancel my order with them, as they wanted me to come in and place a non-refundable deposit in order to 'accept' the order (and trigger a build order).

Emailed them my cancel/refund request and...

Crickets...

No response to 3 emails from yesterday / today.

I'll give them until end of day today and then I'll probably dispute charge with my credit card.

Sheesh...

Oh, well, that sounds like the Maplecrest of Union I know. Their service department has not been bad, I have to say. The the two Maplecrests are owned by brothers, and Stephan Giordano owns Union and Tom Giordano, Mendham. I notice that when you call Mendham, the phone system opens with "This is Tom Giordano..." so you know who he is. Almost impossible to find out who owns Union. I have been happy with them. Who are you switching to?

The way the batteries tend to work as well, that should also lower your degradation as it ages. Small batteries tend to age faster because you’re using a higher percentage of their capacity on a daily basis

Thank you, really good to know. I did make the change as Ford's price reduction got me under the $55K mark for the NJ $5K rebate/tax credit. I am always glad to have information that reinforces the decisions I make.

I went to the Fullerton Ford / Somerville, NJ road show to see the Mach-E (love it!). They seem to be *much* better (fingers crossed). Gave me, in writing, that they will accept $500 fully refundable deposit to place a build order. Salesperson said if I decide to not take it after it arrives on site (and I inspect / test drive), they will refund my $500 in full and keep it as dealer inventory.

Sounds good. Basically what I got with Maplecrest Mendham. They know they can sell it no problem if I don't take it.

You are further along than I am! I went to the road show at Malouf and the Mach-E is now the frontrunner at least pending a test drive. I'm pretty close to wanting to place an order but the deposit would have to be refundable contingent upon a test drive.

I drove an I-Pace the previous week and a Polestar 2 the week before that. The Polestar 2 was just too small/tight and expensive (and over the NJ $55k incentive limit.) The I-pace was great in terms of size, finish, and features. But the Mach E exceeded my expectations and matched or bettered the I-Pace in terms of roominess and ergonomics. It would more than "make do" for me. The I-Pace was certainly more premium but no way was it twice the price / $45k more premium. Plus me in Jag is probably more than a bit bougie. If the Ford drives anywhere close to the I-Pace and Polestar, it's a slam dunk for me. I really prefer the Mach E's curves to the Jag's angles. The pictures were nice but in person it really moved me.

I asked on about the dealers around here on my local community board. They beat up on Malouf and Lawrenceville pretty hard. Flemington was a clear favorite with Fullerton close behind with just some minor dings. It tracked pretty well with the Yelp reviews.

I sent an email to Flemington but it's nice to know how Fullerton is rolling. If I don't hear back from Flemington, I may reach out to Fullerton. Do you have a specific salesperson there that you like and would recommend?

My experience with Fullerton is limited (Roadshow, banter with Salesperson and Ford reps) but it was positive. I got quick email responses and everything I asked for in writing (no mark-up, accept X-Plan pricing and any incentives, etc.). My Salesperson is Tom Cusimano - he was attentive and even jumped in the back seat when I took my (passenger) test drive. So far, so good. The proof will come when I have to write a check, but so far they have been good.

You got a test ride?!? (And thank you!)

How was the ride?
