Hi Everyone! I just purchased a slightly used 2021 MME Premium 4ext. It is still under warranty with 20,000 miles on the odometer. I genuinely love the car and it's been such a nice change from ICE.

I have noticed a few things that seem to be off. First, whenever I go over almost any bump, I can feel/hear a rattle from under the car, which feels like a suspension issue. It happens after the normal bump that you would feel. On my previous car, a GS350, the same issue happened, and it was deemed to be an early strut failure. I'm unsure if something happened when the HVBJB recall was fixed. (I purchased the car and immediately had the vehicle repaired for the recall.) I'm unable to do a before and after. I didn't notice it when I test drove it a couple times before purchasing, and now that I have it I notice it constantly.

Next up: the rear liftgate button. The square button located on the left side when the liftgate is open is non-functional. I've read the manual and done everything possible- it's disabled. I can't set the height or use it to close.

Last: The driver side mirror. When it auto opens/closes, it stutters the whole way there. It isn't a smooth motion; it sounds like an engine trying to start pulsing, and it eventually opens and closes. The motion is normal on the other mirror.

I apologize if these topics are addressed elsewhere, I'm new to the forum and to the community. I've read so much on this forum before even registering and you all are so helpful. Thanks!

Battery noise isn't uncommon, a few reports of loose parts have been mentioned in the HVJB thread(s)

Gate, might well be unplugged, it's got a harness inside that plastic piece.
Looks like it's the only thing inline so it plugs directly to the button

Drivers mirror, start to get it warrantied, at least start making a fuss about it. Mine chatter but so far havn't been making noise. I have a 8/100k ESP so I'm not worried about them.

wouldn't say these are common issues... i haven't had these in particular and mine's a job1.
but it's under warranty so take it to the dealer and get it all taken care of.

My job 1's bumper to bumper warranty ended last night. Had the dealer service it a week or two ago, and one of the items they successfully addressed was the side mirrors stuttering while unfolding. They replaced the mechanism in both side mirrors.

I reported this issue twice before, in prior years, but they'd claim they couldn't reproduce or that it was normal. This time they reproduced and fixed. Get this done before your warranty runs out.

Hey there. Can you send over a message with your VIN and estimated mileage? I would like to look into your concerns on my end.

Thank you for that info! I am going to check out the liftgate hatch today. I will bring it to a dealer to address the other issues too.

Thank you! Glad to hear other people having the same issue being fixed. I'll take it in asap!

To be sure - you have power liftgate enabled in settings?
Hi! Yeah, the liftgate is on. I can open/close it from my remote, the app, the screen, and the centered rubber button, just not the square button on the left.

Yeah right now it doesn't do anything- only the middle rubber button which is odd.
My Expedition has that issue Too. It is a bad switch in my case. I tried to get it fixed but we won’t go there. You most likely need to take it in to the shop.
