I’m actually waiting on some new wheels to get here and was going to use @Discount Tire to buy tires from. I wonder if I should buy my own TPMS sensors (or have the OEM ones switched to the new wheels)? ?ā€ā™‚?

Steve, if you are going to keep your old wheels for future use I’d get new sensors. Otherwise if you are selling them, use your OEM sensors. I’ve purchased multiple TPMS’s which have been working great and require no programming. Quite a few members have also purchased the same ones. This is the eBay item number 123624604932

Or buy OEM sensors from Rock Auto.

This one is branded Schrader they are the company that makes Ford's sensors and the Schrader part number on the sensor. See below if you want the same sensor branded FoMoCo and either way, If you buy them online the nice folks at Discount Tire will install

Those don’t look anything like the ones that were in my OEM wheels but they are just probably a different housing

Schrader is the OE and the company that invented TPMS likely your OE was an older or just a different version. When I looked at Ford's parts catalog looks like they list 3 different styles. Here is a picture of the Ford part number sensor in the most common style.

I have no real reason to keep my OEM wheels so I’ll have them bust off my bald summer tires and move the sensors to the new wheels. ??

@eddieparker curious if you had an update?
Thanks for checking in! They're acting up still after recalibrating. I need to get my old tires loaded into the car and head to discount tire, but unfortunately I'm pretty short on time as of late so it hasn't been a priority.

For context to those in the thread, Discount Tire I believe charged me around 250$ for the TPMS (OEM), so the prices above do seem like a bit of a savings if you want to source things yourself. Then again; not sure if there's labour rolled into their costs.
