I've had a Ford Connected Charger for three years now. My utility, NJ PSE&G, offers an off-peak discount for EV users, but I've never received it. The PSE&G rep told me that Ford hasn't been willing to set up a charging data share to make the program work. Lots of other EV charging brands work with PSE&G, but not Ford. I would've bought a different charger if I'd known it was never going to work with off-peak credits for my utility.

@Ford Motor Company Is this going to change?

The Ford software team is busy getting those BlueCruise 1.4 OTA bugs worked out, so no time for power company integrations right now.

At least your power company has an EV / time-of-use program. Massachusetts is like, nah we don't need time of use or EV charging incentives.

Ford has setup this with other utility companies. The utility company and Ford have to have an agreement, like DTE in SE Michigan does. Ours isn't an off-peak discount, it's a "Smart Charge" discount ($50 now, $50 a year later). Basically, they can stop the car from charging for 2 - 4 hours multiple times a month (which you can override), or force the car to charge (which you can prevent with a smart charger). It's the vehicle - not the charger - that's enrolled.

I've earned $500 over the past years starting with our 2018 Fusion PHEV in mid-2021.

I’ve had a juice box for almost 2 1/2 years and have not had any issues with the data being reported to PSEG. When I bought my charger, they only supported the juice box and ChargePoint chargers, I believe.

The only charger that PSE&G recognizes for off-peak charging if you have a Ford is Charge Point. Nothing else will give you a discount, even if they get a discount in other states.
