No updates on 2021 Mach E Orders @Ford

Haha isn't the level of ineptitude pretty shocking. Hopefully you understand why we aren't pleased about this. (See screenshot below)

Btw I noticed that ppl with 12/13/ and 12/20 build weeks have gotten or about to get their vehicles (happy for them). In a latest update my estimated delivery date was just changed from 1/20/22 to 2/22/22.

Seeing this it's possible your car is built its just being held for some reason at the plant post-build. Therefore I can see how it could be a 2021 model year. That I can see being annoyed about for sure. Do you have your actual VIN? Can you send it to me? I can see if it was actually built or built and released.

If it hasn't been built yet it's a 2022 model year at this point. Go on your portal and send me your pre-production VIN. I bet it is a 2022 VIN... I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure they can't produce a 2021 model year at this point since we are now in 2022.

Nope. The 10th letter of my VIN is M. Did a search on a 3rd party VIN lookup tool. It came back with this:

2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium
Style / Body: SUV 4DEngine: Electric 290 290
Country of Assembly: Mexico

These did *start* production in 2021. All of 'em. They're just taking longer to finish.

I have an in production date of 12.14 for my 2021 and a delivery date of 1.21. @Ford Motor says my car has been built but there is nothing from the dealer, United or palsapp to indicate that it has.

• @breeves002: Built 12/11/21 not released yet from the factory.
• @rohankumar: Screenshot shows it entered production on 12/11/21. Also, VVR (I think) report shows "chip hold", IIRC.

So @breeves002 "built" is more likely "Build began". Or Ford's tracker is AFU...but they do have a "Built" milestone, and none of us whiners has hit it yet.

Most decisions revolve around money. Revenues with no expense offset are more than just margin.

Revenues aren't recognized/earned without product delivery.. otherwise not GAAP. And in progress goods are COGS or inventory.. so wrong on both accounts.

Those are some pretty serious allegations over there. Are you saying that Ford is cherry picking vehicle deliveries based on whether or not you are placing the order at a desired dealership in a big city market. All orders and $500 deposit should carry the same weight irrespective of whichever part of the country they are placed at. Does Ford not realize that in this day and world every customer is a potential brand ambassador for Ford? Do they want to overload these select few dealerships with orders instead of distributing them equitably across their breadth of dealerships?
