Looks good. Guess battery is the main thing to monitor. I like to monitor battery when charging to see speed of charge volt.
I like to see the actual kWhr remaining in HV battery rather than % or GOM range....

The central gauge for me is the real-time power output/regen, shown in kW. I have found it very useful to see output at any given speed and grade; gives immediate feedback on power required as you change speed and terrain. It's pretty fun to see the actual kWhr go back into the battery on a long downhill....

...and I do not watch the 12v voltage or SOC since I trust the dc-dc charging to manage it. I do watch the 12v system AMPS because I do sometimes 'export' power to an external inverter, and I like to keep an eye on the export current.

Which wireless OBDII scanners do you use? I see varying price range at Amazon but some look like it might be overkill.

What I'd like to see, but I don't think it's available, is the brake light indicator. They're is one option, but it only indicates when the pedal is pressed.

I bought this one. It works well but it takes 2 tries to connect. Not sure why but always connects on 2nd try and then is solid

So would anyone be willing to share their desktop setup for Carscanner? I've not been able to get something I'm happy with. I'd like to import something as a starting point.

Does the OBD2 drain the 12V? Like, will I have problems if it's plugged in and I leave the car at the airport for a week or two?

Possibly, if you leave it plugged in all the time, but that isn’t necessary.
I keep the ODBII in the car at all times, but only plug it in when I launch the app.

The car has a memory for error codes, so if something happens, you can pull any codes from it by plugging in later.

If you want to leave it plugged in all the time, I recommend getting an OBDLink MX+ which has a very low standby drain of only 2 mA. It will not drain the battery unless you are still connected and pulling data while the vehicle is off.

I like CarScanner, and have settled on display of 5 guages. It's pretty easy to pick the layout, and then select the data you want to see in each section, and select HOW you want to see it. This is my favorite so far:

Question for you Sir. I’ve got a veepeak plugged in and Car Scanner running. All the power features are reporting in HP rather than KW. Your central dial is labeled Power in KW. Is this just mislabeled by Car Scanner and you’ve customized the label? Or is there a setting I’m not finding?

'Hv ev power 'defaults to kW.... you can dble-click and change title and units if you want, but I like to see kW as it relates more directly to battery capacity and power

There's a Settings option at the front page of the app if you want to change all units. If you're in the dashboard, you can tap anywhere then tap the back arrow in the upper left. The Settings menu is in the middle of the front page. Then find units...

That did it. Thank You. I was looking at customizing the individual meter. Didn’t think to look at overall settings. Thank You so much.
