I have a grabber blue MME. I live in the northern US, and robins have reappeared here as the weather warms up.

Every morning I go to a local park to walk. It seems that at least one robin has a “special” relationship with my car.

For three days in a row now when I come back to my car after walking there has been a robin perched on my mirror. It has left a couple “gifts” there as well. I assume it has something to do with the color of my car, but am not sure. I have never seen robins do this before.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Your question should really be directed at a qualified ornithological physiologist. But to my untrained eye… blue eggs… blue car… dumb robin… dunno. Girls do weird things when they get baby fever.

Christ! It’ll take some brooding to hatch that egg?

Their probably after the reflection in the glass or mirror, it’s all about mating and territory this time of year.
i think this is probably it. my prius seems to attract birds to the driver's side mirror - they sit on the mirror and peck at their reflection in the window. sometimes they peck at their reflection in the mirror itself. and in sitting there for hours they poop all over the mirror.

then again, my prius is blue...

I agree with the reflection.

I once had a cardinal that had a death feud with the “cardinal” that “lived” in the drivers side mirror of my minivan.

I don’t know why he eventually gave up, but it took a while.

If possible, put a white piece of paper inside the window so the robin can no longer see its reflection easily.

Also in Wisconsin.

Used to have a black freestyle that lived outside in its senior years. Robins constantly did their business on the mirrors, side windows, and windshield. Also had turkeys decide to peck away at one side of it, and had to regularly shoo them off. I've also seen sand hill cranes come back regularly to a co workers black truck and peck at the side of it. So it's not just blue.

And we've never stopped at the I-94 cheese castle!
