Hi We've had a 23 Mach E GT for about 6 months. So far it has been great. Here is a minor issue. My wife and I switch off driving the car (dogs go to a few days daycare but in jeep not EV.) We supposedly have it programmed to recognize the key and adjust the seats accordingly. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. It may be my impression alone, but almost never after a OTA update. Again, it's not a big deal to push the button, but it is maddening.

TIA, Steve

Are you, by chance, using remote start via FordPass?

There have been a few times I've stated to get into my wife's MME with my key fob and the seat was in her position. too tight for me. I never correlated it with an update or the position of her key fob just had to hit the #2 on the door before I could get in. And it hasn't happened the last 5 or 10 times I've unlocked and gotten in. ??

Nope - just the key fob. Have read of people draining their 12 V system by walking past garage with their cell phones.

That is kind of my problem - it seem to be a completely random event when it either works or doesn't work, so there seems to be no way to trouble shoot or fix. As I said, this is a truly minor issue, but it is a bit annoying.

My ‘21 Select started doing that after an OTA update several months ago. Since my wife doesn’t drive it very often, I just removed her profile so it stays on my setting. She sets the seats by pushing the button on the door. I sent a voicemail message to Ford about it, but haven’t heard anything back from them.

Similar annoyance: about a quarter of the time I get in my 22 Cal Rt 1 the driver seat starts moving forward and stops prematurely. I hit #1 profile button on door and it continues to profile position. Otherwise, car is perfect!

It sounds like your profiles might be misconfigured. I was just running into the issue where my profile was NEVER loading automatically.

I finally figured out how to edit the profile (load the profile and tap the pencil to the right of the profile name) and see if you have the key fob and phone set up right. In my case, I almost always use my phone and leave my fobs at home, and my phone wasn’t active on my profile. Tried to add it and it kept erroring out.

The fix for me was to delete my profile and create a new one (requires you have both the fob AND the phone you want to activate the profile). Been working fine since.

OK, at least I'm not the only one. I may try to re install the profile, I may also just push the button when needed. Thanks folks,

Steve

I've experienced this issue as well. So far it seems to be most prevalent when I'm carrying both my key fob and my PaaK-enabled phone. Ford is trying to figure out the cause and how to fix it. I've not been able to find a workaround (other than pressing the door memory button).

I presume neither you nor your wife use PaaK?

We do not - only the key fob.

Hahaha that’s funny. Walking past the garage and draining the battery. I don’t even know where my key fob is. Use PAAK exclusively and have never had any problems. Ever.

Is the front passenger seat also stored in drivers profile?

Both my wife and I use PaaK exclusively. The profile tends to stick with whomever drove it last. I just hop in, and press the 1 button for my profile, and move on. Would be nice if it could tell who is closest to the driver’s door and pick that profile.
