Opinion poll please! There's a new Ice Blue Silver Metallic MME available at my local dealership... I would have preferred White or Black but don't want to wait months for one... can't decide if I like Ice Blue Silver Metallic... (And if this atters... it will be an everyday errand driver for mid thirties parents and small kids, and it's the premium trim/wheels).

If you like it, it is.

I voted no though even though I like it because I want more colors that aren’t versions of grey. Antimatter Blue, performance blue, green. Come in Ford, live the rainbow. Or something.

Carey in with your nice color.

The color is gorgeous (IMHO) and it hides dirt very well. It looks different depending on the lighting and is only available in 2022, so it will be fairly exclusive.

Same car, different lighting...

I think the OP is asking advice for whether or not the purchase one...

Yes they are. And if they like the car they should. Color is genuinely a bit far down the list.
Maybe a bit more context: besides being undecided personally, I'm thinking a bit about the resell value in 1-2 years of this color as we're waiting on a Rivian R1S reservation that will take it's place. So I'm curious if the general consensus from people is positive about this color.

I bought one after finally finding the specs I wanted (Premium Std Range RWD, gray interior) 2 months after I first saw it in person. Generally I’d prefer a bright blue or navy color and was thinking about ordering a ‘23 in Vapor Blue, but this color is sharp on the MME’s curves and body lines.

At times, it looks like just another silver, but in some lighting it’s this great light blue and infrequently a slight tinge of lavender. It’s not loud and in your face like Grabber Blue or Cyber Orange, but it looks great in sunlight.

If the other specs are what you want and it’s a ‘22 at a fair price, I think 1-2 years shouldn’t be too bad of a hit on resale given tax credit, ‘23 MSRP increase, and almost certain continued EV demand. But only you can decide. Care to let us know the other specs for it?

I’ve seen John’s car in person and had this color been available when I ordered mine, I would have gotten it instead of Iconic Silver.

Premium AWD with regular range battery

Would have preferred extended range battery but they're hard to come by without ordering/waiting months or overpaying for a used one without a tax credit. Not a car we'll need to go on long trips with though (and I've already got our garage wired for a 60A charger for our current Model 3 that the MME will replace, so I can swap out the charger and will be able to charge it quickly while at home etc)

I have an infinite blue premium. It was available for about half of 2021. Ice blue silver will sell fine on the resale market when the time comes. There’s actually a reason Ford picks these shades and colors — they’re popular.

Well said.

Although many of the colors lean toward neutral on this car, it wears them all very well. Maybe they weren't very daring on the whole, but you have to hand it to the designers for making every combination turn heads.

It's personal preference, but there's no way IBSM would be the reason I turned away from this car. In fact, when I was considering a GT, this was my first color choice.

The magic of this color, IMO, is that it can appear neutral at first glance but can really take on different hues, as JohnFoxeSheets captured so well. It's a real shame they dropped this color.

Regarding the SR Premium, that sounds like it would work great for your use case. Added bonus of the lighter battery is theoretically better efficiency, which should mean shorter charging times at home.

It just worried me since they discontinued it (less demand when it was previously available for order?) But so far the poll results have been very favorable to it so I'm feeling better about it.

Love that color and would still pick it again if I had the choice since my order was cancelled and converted to a 23. Shocked you can find one and hope it works out for you if it’s not sold yet!

Because the opinion of 26 strangers on the internet is valuable in determining resale, in a particular market, 1-2 years down the road? o_O

Car makers discontinue colors all the time. Ruby Red Metallic was a top Ford color for years, replaced by Rapid Red Metallic. Does that mean that Ruby Red Metallic is going to impact resale on my several year old vehicle. Absolutely not. It's meaningless. Unless the color is "out there", whether it's discontinued or not is totally irrelevant.
