So I have had all the recalls/updates. I have Blue Cruise. However, over the last 3 weeks I have been getting Front Camera Fault messages along Pre-collision assist not available messages. Well this week, this fault is here stay. I have an appt with the dealer next Tuesday.

Has anyone experienced this?

Blue Cruise is no working—to be expected. Are there any other systems That might be affected?

My VIN is 3FMTK3R70MMA27139

If I need to move this to another post, let me know. Thanks so much!!

Yes, insist on getting a Ford Engineer on site. They will work with Dearborn, if necessary, to get your Mach-e updated. Once I got one onsite for mine, it was fixed within 2 days. I don't understand why dealerships don't push for this help. It is a great way for them to get extra training, tips and understanding the procedures.
So , following ford's guide they updated? The IPC and now everything works, that was one long journey, thank you everyone who commented and helped.

Wanted to post an update - there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Got unstuck a few weeks back. For the last week and a half I've been getting OTAs almost every other day. I now have Blue Cruise and 2.8.3 successfully updated. Seems like the car is back to being a little slow to wake when I press door to unlock. Otherwise, all the issues have been fixed and I'm very happy to be a member of the current club waiting for the next major improvement.

You said all recalls and updates had been done. I will assume you mean the windshield as well. Did they do a camera realignment following your windshield replacement? That could account for this. And if they did, they may need to redo it. But I'm sure the tech will figure that out when you get there.

And here are the currently outstanding software updates you have pending:

Since they would have to hook up the laptop to your car to do the re-alignment maybe they can knock these out at the same time. One of them is on the CSP 21P22 list, the RFA. Ford pays the tech to do that one.

Mike!!
Your an angel! Yes, the windshield recall has been completed. I believe the camera realignment was done as well. But I will confirm when I drop it off on Tuesday. I really appreciate have this going into the appt.

General question—How are we the owners supposed to know about these updates? Once the vehicle is out of warranty, will we have to pay for this? Or is there something like the OBD2 that we can buy? Just curious how we are supposed to manage the technology when outbid warrant.

thanks again!!

Well according to Ford most of these updates will just come along as OTAs eventually. Again, that's what their stated plan is.

The only other options are to wait till there's another recall or CSP that Ford releases to address some programming issues and get the modules all updated at that time, or find a forum member who's local to you and who has the Mongoose adapter cable, the power supply, and the FDRS license (you can get a short term license for not a lot of money) and have a programming party. It's already been done in several locations.

Here's where you'd start on that.

Just got my Mach-E back from the dealer last night. I was stuck on the 1.7.1 update for months. They completed the windshield recall and the 22B08 service. Took them a few days and a couple calls to the engineers. They said mine was only the second one they’d ever seen.

when I got the car back from the dealer I noticed it had the ‘notes’ App which it never did. Then today I get a notification that the power-up 2.1.0 update was successful OTA. The only weird thing is i have none of the other features as far as I can tell. No tic-tac-towe, no CarPlay on the instrument cluster, no calculator, etc. unless I’m majorly missing something

anyone have any ideas on this one?

So if the idea was to get you unstuck I guess they did that since you got an OTA overnight that puts you now at Powerup 2.1.0 . (Check here for the details, and note when that was released...).

You've got a ways to go to get current. You can follow what your next versions should be using the wiki. I'm guessing 2.1.1 followed by 2.6.0 (renamed 2.3.0) etc.

So they just did the part about getting you so that you could get OTAs again and sent you on your way. But things like that HVAC and GSM update you see in that list are not going to get updated by OTAs soon. Just sayin'.

Thanks Mike, it seemed like the dealer wanted nothing to do with it honestly. It seemed like they were trying to get me out of there asap. I would probably bring it back to a different shop if I needed to do anything else

the only thing I don’t understand though is now that I’m on 2.1.0, shouldn’t I have the features that were released in 1.7.1 also?

Well certainly you should...what version does your Sync say you are now?

Note the GSM is on the list of not possible OTA I'm pretty sure.

sync says version 21174 product revision 168
That's the 1.7.1 APIM level; so you got 1.7.1 successfully if so.

EDIT: You'll likely get 2.6.0 next. Once your last update's expiration date hits. Around a week after the previous one (2.1.0 I think you said).

After speaking to the service writer on Thursday my Securialerts didn't show any activity on Friday. There were several on Monday and one this morning. I noticed that the battery level had dropped down from the 80s to the 50s. Just now I got a message on FordPass that my "1-year complimentary Ford BlueCruise" is now active so they must be making some progress. Maybe I'll hear from them soon.

Still no OTA update for me. The gateway module has not come in yet and this is what I got from my ford service advisor.

“My parts guy called the vendor. They have these parts, but Ford has to provide them with programming for them and what they have is corrupt. Appearently this has been a known issue with this component and programming since Novemeber of 21. There isn't any estimates for shipment at this time.”

I guess now we will be looking at what our options are for a car that they can apparently not fix.
Since I got it back May 27 from having the windshield/roof recall done. My pre collision assist is not working, front camera fault, lane assist not working, no cruise control. My husband finally got ahold of Ford and got a case number.

Anyone have any suggestions?
