My Fordpass app was working poorly so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. Now when I try to setup phone as key after I hit the "get started" button it goes to a User Authenication for Ford pass which has a grayed out scan with fingerprint which only sends you back to get started and then a blue or active USE PASSWORD button but when you hit that it asked for current p/w which when entered doesn't work. I reset the PAAK in the car. FPconnective services were of no help. Please help

Did you have any other issues with re-install on FordPass? I'm considering the same. Got PAAK setup on spouse's phone, but mine always fails to connect eventhough Bluetooth and FordPass are working otherwise. It's killing me she can use PAAK but I cannot!!! :D

OP sounds like maybe they are using android? or an older iPhone?

@buddy3210 did you call the BEV team? they walked me thru everything once.

after delivery i couldn't get PAAK to work at all with my iPhone 14 pro and 23 GTPE. i pulled fuses 11 and 19, deleted fordpass from my phone, and waited 10 minutes, then reinstalled the fuses, rebooted the phone, reinstalled the app and repeated the setup and it worked. i think there was a half-complete BTLE pairing in the phone that deleting the app managed to delete. not sure though because i also reset the BLE module and TCU by pulling those fuses.

however, now i've got a phantom key in my account which i can't delete.

You have to reset the PaaK in the car and then you'll be able to set it up again. Get a key FOB and go into the car.

Settings -> General -> Reset -> Fordpass Connect Reset -> Phone as a Key Reset

Then remove all of the bluetooth connections previously made with the car on your phone and re-setup PaaK after that.

Uninstalling FordPass or wiping the cache from the FP app will delete the PaaK Key and that's what has happened in your case. When the key is removed the phone and the car have a mismatch and a reset is the only way to resolve it sometimes.

Did everything you mentioned and phone is paired to car, stopped in at a dealer today. Salesman tried it and said Fordpass is having problems right now, said will come back later.

Thanks for the reply, looks like I have some things to try when I get a chance.
