Popping sound when turning?

Sometimes, at low speeds, I can hear a popping/clicking noise when turning. The car has done this since I've had it and nothing has been called out for the shop while doing my inspections. This is my first EV so not sure if this is a normal thing to hear or now. Has anyone else experienced this?

There’s an SSM for this. You may need new halfshafts.

Yep. The half shafts need to be replaced. This is a known problem with 2021 models, including mine.

I would print out the SSM and give it to your service adviser at the dealership when you drop off the car for diagnosis. It will make it much faster if they know the SSM. They confirmed mine in less than an hour and gave me back my car to drive until the parts came in.

Finally got the car checked today and its the front CV Axel’s that need to be replaced. I’m not sure how long this part is meant to last but the car only had 28k miles on it.

If you are getting the half shafts replaced, it is a known issue. I had mine replaced as well.

Forgot to mention the stock tires are also in the red with even tread wear. I’m surprised that a 55k rated tire is already bad at 28k.
