I activated the free three year trial on Ford Connected Services site. Was told to finish setting up by touching the Alexa button on the screen. I did so and saw a dismiss option so I did. That was it. My husband DID NOT activate the three year free trial and got the dismiss option. Worth touching the Alexa button on your screen to see if you get the dismiss option.

FWIW…we don’t use Alexa. We have iPhones and a Google Home. Wosh the Nest thermostat was compa with HomeKit.

Is this another situation where they released some updates to early access, then made tweaks and changed the version numbers and released them again? Like they did with the BC updates?

There’s easy ways to get the Nest to work with HomeKit, I use a HOOBS box

Yeah. A few people have said that disable button is just “there”. Its not on mine though. @Ford Motor Company thiis Alexa needs to be gone.

Follow the money most likely. Alexa is a tool to data mine and sell you products.

If only there was a way to remove Alexa and find a way to revive Cortana. I would be completely onboard with having Cortana built-in (back when it was at its best anyway).

I don’t think anybody knows - not that I’ve seen. I suspect it will have a negligible impact on BC performance/availability for most of us. I suspect this to be the case because Ford hasn’t promoted any significant enhancement to BC.
