You're one step closer to 6.6.6, which introduces Dante's drive mode -- faster race to the bottom with a new 3 second throttle, GT models only.

Exciting!
But at the ended of 3 seconds the HVBJB goes up in flames!

Big powertrain update!

Note: Latest versions from this update are on the left side, columns are labeled incorrectly.

22 minute inhibit update, but completed in about 11 minutes. Only used 14% of the 12V battery, impressive.
Do we think this will take care of the two recent CSPs? 22B48 & 22B50

I usually get new updates pretty quick but not this one yet. I checked my LVB SoC and it was at 72%, so that could be why. I charged it up to 81% and will see if comes soon.

Alright, I did some preliminary testing and despite the release notes there are some significant changes in this update!
  • New Hold & Apply parking brake feature. When you shift into park, the service brakes will hold the vehicle while the parking brake is automatically applied every time. This prevents bouncing off the park pawl. When you shift into drive, the parking brake is automatically disengaged. This feature basically makes using the parking brake switch unnecessary (except for emergency braking) and it functions like a Tesla.
  • Regen ramp/accelerator pedal calibration changes. Regen feels different now. There were some new regen ramping patterns in the calibration it seems like, which initially were a bit annoying to me. Feels less smooth than before and requires more pedal adjustments, but perhaps I'll get used to it. Decel rate also feels faster approaching 0 mph. See more below.
  • Slightly Longer En-route Preconditioning. The distance from the charger where battery heating for DCFC begins has been increased slightly. From 30 km (19 mi) to 35 km (22 mi). Preconditioning remains a FAIL in winter temps (28ºF) because it only heated my battery up +3ºC in that distance. Battery temp at charger arrival was only 14ºC, well short of the 26ºC target. I will reiterate my longstanding recommendation to Ford of increasing the start distance to 100+ km to provide ample time. There was some evidence the start distance may now be dynamic, this requires further testing.
  • There are likely other new changes I will discover with further testing.

Some more about the regen, here are three subsequent 65-5 MPH decelerations in 1PD on flat ground in the three different drive modes (kW graph). Whisper seems to have a slight 2-step ramp at the beginning, which is a bit odd because it feels like the regen suddenly kicks up a notch after a second. The initial ramp rate may be steeper than before. There is also a "lump" near the peak regen point (which was previously present). Other than those two artifacts (which are repeatable) the curve shape is exactly the same as Engage. Engage feels like the smoothest 1PD regen other than the initial hit. Last, I overlayed Engage's curve on Unbridle, and there is a difference there, as expected Unbridle has a much faster/steeper initial ramp to the regen peak (which is around 55 mph), but the same profile afterwards as the other modes.
