PowerTrain Malfunction / Reduced Power

2021 Mach E Premium with 8K miles.
Happened today as was starting up the car. Got the alert on the ford pass app and check engine light on the dash. The check engine light went away after 10 minutes.
Have had my car serviced prior for the HVJB issue (6 months ago car just would not start).
Looking through the forums its unclear if this problem should occur for cars that have the software fix for HVJB problem.
Drove home ok for the 5 mile commute.
Any advice? The issue at this point is not the car but having to deal with the dealership which is painful…

Unfortunately, until you know the codes stored in the system causing that message, you will not know if it is the HVBJB or not.

Has Ford already REPLACED your HVBJB or just applied the recall to update the software monitoring the HVBJB? If it was replaced, it is probably not the HVBJB, but if it was just the software update it might be the HVBJB.

If it completely went away the next ignition cycle it's probably the gear shift bug. Do not fiddle with the shifter knob unless your foot is on the brake.

Yes - it did go away completely after the next ignition, i am driving in a couple of hours again, will update.

My powertrain fault seems to have cleared up, got the following this afternoon. Dropped it off at the dealer who said it might take some time for diagnostic. My biggest fear is what if craps out when I am away from my home?

if you got the 'Service Vehicle Soon'.....
get to the Dealership, FDRS diagnostic to pull error codes.... and if eligible, order new HVBJB via the COPIS special order process.

took the car to the dealership - waiting for them to complete the diagnostic. Opened a case with BEV team thru chat process..
