I have a message saying “a software update is downloading”. Since my last update failed, I’m currently sitting in my car with it on, trying to will the car to install this update once it’s done downloading.
How will I know when it’s completed downloading? Will the “Update now” button light up?

Yup. After download is finished it's got to do some checks before the button lights up. You can just drive the car normally and the download will occur in the background. Mine downloaded while I was driving home from work (about 30 mins).

Absolutely, which is why when I’m looking at a drivers display, I’d prefer to see things that are actually meaningful to my driving.

You madlads getting 6.8, I just got 4.2.2.3 in Europe and my car bricked in the process (Job 2 2021). Had to reset everything (including 12V battery) and let it cool down for 30 minutes before I could even get in or start the car - was all hell and noises otherwise. Turns out that after installing the update and throwing the fit, the car was as good as new (on it's third HVJBJ but that's a story for a other time).

I have a Premium and had used Forscan in the past to change the compass to the outside temp and also add the power meter from the GT underneath the battery percentage. This update removed the power meter.

Have you tried to add it back? I'm hoping this update will allow it to be added to 2021 Job 1 cars.

I just noticed it this morning. I haven't tried yet.

This is most likely just because the OTA re-wrote the config from Ford's database back to what it should be. Forscan should just be able to change it back, unless Ford decided to remove it, which probably isn't the case.

I don’t understand how these updates are rolled out. I also have a 2023 premium RWD and I got an update last night but only to 6.3. I was on 6.1. Is it a staggered release throughout the month?

Have you seen that SouthPark episode on how Family Guy episodes get written? I imagine the same team of Manatees writes the release notes for Ford and decides on who gets what update and when.

I think this might be either 6.2.1 or "Priority Update 23-PU1103-NAT-VCE" depending on model. The version number is at the bottom of the release notes, I believe.

Received another update with version this morning..6.3.0, doesn’t tell me enough on what exactly, i will dig into this later today to find put more..
