'23 GTPE received yesterday while in Costco. Interesting part is after update car wouldn't recognize my PAAK. had to use my backup code to start the car.

You have to click account at top right then go to the message center and read the msg from there. That will remove it from the home screen

I've read the alert and message but the vehicle alert regarding this update remains on the home screen. I did not delete the message since I want to have a record of it.

It goes away by itself in a day or two. There’s nothing for you to do.

Went from 4.2.4 to 5.1.1 last night. I'm assuming it didn't do all updates in between as well.

Does this mean I'll go back to 4.2.5 sometime in the future? Anyone ever go backwards?

Don’t forget that the numbered OTA packages only update some modules. OTA number A.B.C might update modules G, M , and Q, where update B.C.D might update modules A, F, and Z. So you really wouldn’t be going backward, you’d be getting other software updated. Think of the car as your library of EA games and each packaged update as the individual games you own. EA would be updating each on its own schedule. ??

You're right. When I did what I told you to do the message went away. Today it was back and I tried it again and it didn't work.
