Although mine didn't mention the IPS update at all. Only that they made a Frunk warning. I'll see what it actually is when I roll out for lunch today. (I'm FDRS'd up to last months updates for Job1's)

I have been refusing this update for months because I want my instrument cluster to look how it presently looks. I just heard a rumor on Reddit that the next OTA update fixed this. Any truth to that? I'm highly skeptical.

It's not a rumor. There is an IPC update that was reported by only a few that put the speedo back in the middle.

EDIT: If you do this, though, please make a backup of the configuration data so that you can restore it to the original settings. The "AS BUILT" data does get overwritten for your car, with time, so it's worth being extra careful / diligent about documenting what you change for your own vehicle.

My, "Update Now* button is greyed out. In the update I downloaded months ago and refused to install. So I sent it to auto update. I'll give it a week and see if that takes. Idk what happened because it was ready to install and now that I want it, it's showing the message it would show if I'd installed it. But above that message it clearly says,

"Not Completed."
"Software Updates Have Been Made."
in boldfaced type.

Those two lines are contradictory... Do I need dealer service now?

Not completed means that OTA trigger failed or timed out and is no longer active. Nothing you can do at this point but wait for it to be resent.

Yes, as expected that still doesn’t work because of powertrain software.
