PPF: Shiny or matte?

Those of you with PPF: did you go shiny or matte?

What's your base colour?

Bonus points if you post pictures!

I'm going shiny I think with the cyber orange. Figure I'm already a loud colour, so might as well embrace it.

Yes, plus "A" pillars, mirror caps, and front fenders. It's been great so far (9 months). You don't really see it at all, unless you're looking for it.

Shiny and partial frontal + black surfaces only. You’d have to do the whole body with matte and that is a terrible value proposition.

I can post pics, but you won’t see anything different vs none wrapped vehicle… and that’s the whole point. It’s an invisible protective layer.

FWIW, I'm pretty happy I went with a full wrap after all. I live on a muddy/gravel road and not having to worry about rock chips / mud splatter is nice. Especially on the piano-black runners on the sides.

I did go glossy however.

I did 1/3 of the front section of the hood. I would definitely PPF the entire hood next time. The line is annoying.

We got that paint, thinking since it was a short term colour, it would be relatively rare. I guess the dealer had different ideas and ordered several into our local market. We love the way the shade changes depending on the lighting, especially at twilight.

The only line on ours is 5-10 cm back of the top angle of the A Pillars. Noticeable, but at least it's short.

Shiny PPF from the front edge to the A Pillar, then ceramic from there to the rear edge.

These cars's plastic skin parts are actually black nylon under the paint, hence the PPF up front. One little rock, and...

Professional prep and application are IMHO more important than the materials used.

They quoted me another $1,000 to do full PPF. It’s not a $1,000 annoying to me. I barely notice it.
