Predictive Speed Assist - AGRESSIVENESS

Ok I like having Predictive Speed Assist to auto adjust my speed while having BC and ACC on but hate that it slows me down so aggressively on small curves or upcoming speed limit changes. Anyone find a fix for that?

Unfortunately, that's the way it's coded. Even with FORScan, all you can do is either turn it on or off. There is no way to adjust how much it brakes.

Try whisper mode. If that’s still too aggressive then just press on the accelerator and modulate it.

Are you saying we can turn off the slow down on curves portion without losing the auto speed limit adjust?

Yes. You can turn off predictive speed assist in the driver assist menu. Or, you can disable it completely with FORScan in line 706-02-02 on the IPMA. Change the 2 here back to a 0 to match the Bluecruise 1.0 config. Lane change assist and in-lane repositioning will continue to work.

The fix is as follows:

1) Gently press on the pedal to maintain your speed.

That is all.

It definitely could be smoother but it’s easily overridden, like Rick said, by pressing the accelerator.

One additional slow down that I discovered is it starts slowing to exit the freeway when it’s in your active route. Soooo, … , when you decide to ignore the scheduled charge stop and continue on to the next exit, get ready for the car trying to exit you anyway.

I had emergency braking on and a few weeks ago while slowing down at a light, the alarms bells went off and the car brakes so hard it came to a dead stop on a dime. The gtpe Brembo brakes are definitely powerful lol. But I thought for sure I was gonna get smoked from the car behind me. So lucky they were able to stop. I definitely had space between me and the car in front of me so not sure why it was so aggressive. I turned the sensitivity down but now I’m consciously leaving extra space. I could not use the accelerator to stop the braking or have it release either until the car was at a dead stop. So scary.

However, many people believe it is detremental to the safety of all society to have that feature in your vehicle.
