If you book your charge through the Tesla app it's slightly less expensive, and if you take out membership ($13USD/$17CAD per month) you get the same rate Tesla owners do.
I just checked 10 different Supercharger locations in Northern CA, and the per kWh price reported by FordPass and Tesla apps were exactly the same. I don’t charge on the road enough to pay $12.95 a month for a discount, but if I was taking a road trip I suppose I could sign up for a month.

I replied to someone earlier that I confirmed in Texas that Tesla is cheaper in all locations I travel on a regular basis. 42c beats EA and EVgo by at least 20c kWh.
Just like others pointed out gas wars are now the kW wars. I will be using Tesla because the locations are better and they have more stations. EVgo just posted that the brand new Pilot FlyingJ in Houston has opened and they have 2 350 kW stations. Yes TWO these are the fancy GM collaborations with EVgo. When I looked on Plug Share one was in use with one open. For giggles I looked on the Tesla app and 2 exits away was 6 Super chargers with a peak price of .46c (.32c off peak hrs) and the EVgo is .65c. EA and EVgo will soon find out the power of numbers.
Yes. Agreed. Thankfully in California the cost per kW is still low. I typically pay around $0.26 (at home I pay between $0.09 - $0.16/kW). And only on trips have I seen in the $0.40+ price range.
I have not been to a Tesla super charger yet. No idea of their prices, and not too concerned — it’s all far cheaper than gas in the rare event I need a charge.

In Nashua NH, at the same Mall parking lot area we have this per kWh:
EA at $44c (correction per minute on this one)
Tesla at $60c
EvGO at $69c
The Tesla app showed 50 c/kw at Tyngsborough. Still higher than the EA at the mall. I think Tesla charging will always be more expensive but then their chargers are working and available. That is worth something.

I compared rates with a Tesla driver and his Tesla app and his showed a lower cost compared to my Tesla app at the same exact location & same time.

His was $0.15-$0.20 LESS per kWh than my rate.

Still, the Tesla rate for non Tesla is pretty good - about in line with my nearby EA and EVGo...

Just have to choose a lower peak time....

Near me there's a new Tesla SC station that the Ford app claims is just $0.30/KwH. It's located at a casino, and markedly cheaper than anything else around here (including slow public L2 charging).

Makes me wonder, is the casino subsidizing the price somehow? I've not heard of any retail locations subsidizing the price of Tesla SC stations but if anyone does a casino certainly makes sense!
Is the Casino Native American owned? Eliminates all the fees and taxes.

Ahhh, that's probably it. I'm pretty sure it's on a reservation. Didn't realize there were a bunch of taxes and fees baked into the per KwH rate at superchargers?

Are you old enough to remember gas wars and gas stations giving out various trinkets? I remember one company was giving out nice NFL drinking glasses.
Station on every corner, S&H green stamp, Glasses, Full service including oil check and clean the windows. All for $0.09 per gallon. Ten stations on a one-mile Strech. Each a different brand.

broomfield/superior Colorado area:

(All prices without membership)

EA: $0.56/KwH
EVgo: $0.52/KwH
Tesla: $0.45/KwH

Without any memberships for any of those, Tesla is actually the cheapest for me.

Yes, with an EA membership, I believe it’s the same, if not cheaper, but I rarely DCFC. So for the once every couple months that I DCFC, Tesla would actually be cheaper for me.

Yes - I made a trip to South Florida last week and found the range of prices pretty wild. In SC & FL most chargers (EA / EVGo / FPL) charge by the kWh while in Georgia they cost on the minute. Then you can find a variety of prices within just a few miles of each other. Take for example, Naples Florida (FPL - $0.30/kWh, EA - $0.48/kWh, Tesla SC - $0.50/kWh). In Georgia you can likely charge much much cheaper than Florida since they charge by the minute. When we charged in Valdosta and Commerce on the way home we paid roughly half the Florida price when put on a apples to apples basis. The Tesla network looks like it offers obvious reliability benefits but it comes at a cost with the Tesla chargers usually 50% more than the corresponding EA charger. Considering we don't have the coverage that you have in California it is really the wild west and requires considerable comparison to find a reasonable price. Charging at home is king! (particularly since I am on a $20/month test program for all you can charge plan from Duke).
Thx for this. I was asking this question last week about the variability for charing pricing. So at the moment pricing is variable based on region/state/vendor and basically there is zero consistency. Thank goodness for charging at home which is my main use case.

Out west (LA, AZ, Vegas) the pricing is all over the place with stations that I've taken a peek at. What I've found is that in areas where there is a lot of usage that Tesla has kept prices high for non-tesla vehicles to not drive traffic to those sites. In areas where there is less trafic the prices are quite reasonable and are usually 1 cent less than an Electify America station that is closeby. So since Telsa has a bunch of data they can price accordingly to manage flow. There are stations where its 1 price for the entire day and other stations where they charge different rates depending on the time of day.

I typically drive between LA/Vegas, LA/Phx, and LA/SD so I was only looking at charging stations along those routes. The biggest pain points for me so far have been at Quartzsite, AZ (only 4 EA charging stations) and Irvine, CA (always full with a line of cars waiting to charge). So now we'll have an 80+ charging station in Quartzsite and another 24 over in Tustin available for use with rates that are below what EA is charging.

I'm looking forward to getting the adapter in my hands. Too bad it won't be until May.
I hate variable pricing
