Meanwhile over in Tesla land.... apparently something in the AC/air filter is making their cars stink?

And forget the mind-boggling entitlement of thinking Tesla should replace cabin air filters for free "as a good customer service service gesture to its customers". Absolutely astounding.

... more like clogged AC condensation drain. A problem and old and common as air conditioned cars.

Ford's profits go down. ???
?
Gonna take mine out & throw it away, it’s pointless unless I start to live my entire life hermetically sealed in a pollen filtered bubble?

I have a 2022 Bronco. It has a cabin airfilter. An ORV with a removable top AND doors. ????????

M-O-N-E-Y G-R-A-B
I have a 1972 Blazer. No A/C, no cabin air filter. Removable top, roll up window option, rear seat option, stir it yourself transmission, 1-ton transfer case. Noisier inside with the top on than with it off. ??

This is why I love this forum. Really good suggestions. I bought one of these filters and just installed it. I couldn’t believe the “thing” that was in the car. It was kind of dirty but about half the thickness of the replacement i put in. Also very flimsy. I wonder if this was the OEM filter. Anyway, glad to have the new one in. Now…for a test drive.

That doesn’t look OEM. Mine fit very well into its slot, just like the washable replacement I have in there now. ??

Yeah, really strange. This is about 3/4” thick, about half of what the new one is. It’s a Motocraft FP-71A, according to the side printing.

That is not the correct filter for a Mach-E, it looks like the one for an Edge. Perhaps your dealer or service center replaced it already as part of a service and used the wrong part.

The original Mach-E filter will look similar but is about 1" thick.

FYI Ford sells an upgraded premium cabin filter for about $18, see more details here: New Premium Cabin Air Filter from Ford
