There was an F150 Lightning user recently that had the same issue - he thought it was because he uses 3-4 different public EV charger apps....

Oh, that's not good! I heavily rely on the Home Assistant integration, actually that was one of my considerations to buy Ford. Crap...

My account was not blocked yet, so there is hope.
It could be locked and you might not notice. Mine was locked for quite a while before I noticed. Everything was working fine, including Tronity and the Android widget.

I only noticed it when I attempted to log into my Ford account using my PC instead of the FP app on my phone. That is when I saw the error. And still everything else was working fine.

For anyone encountering this, I ran into the same issue while building an app. The error is a nondescript "CSIAH0320E", which seems to indicate that the account was manually disabled due to suspected malicious activity. It's annoying that they don't even bother to inform you what's going on, they just lock it.

The Fordpass team working on my open case (for 3 weeks) has been apparently stumped. I'm going to ask them to get me in contact with the IT Security Team, whoever that is...

This has happened to my acct as well. If you Google that particular error code, it means your account was disabled. It took countless call backs to Ford and they finally re-enabled my acct although my Ford Pass mobile app worked all along. Of course, when this happened, I never logged out of my mobile app waiting for it to be re-enabled. It was mind boggling that it took them 4 weeks to re-enable my account. I suspect that the login credentials are handled by another vendor (IBM, I think) and there must have been a bunch of red tape for Ford to go through to finally re-enable my account, which again, was mind boggling.

I told the Ford support people that in the rare occasion, I foobar my bank account credential, it only took an hour for my financial institution to correct the issue. If a financial institution can get it done a lot quicker, why can't Ford on a website account?!?!?!

Truly astonishing and a suspect a very poor credentialing system with Ford.

I have this issue as well and the girl on the phone actually told me these were the issue and I could only charge my car through the FP and Blueoval network.

To say that I am pissed off is a huge understatement. My financing is with Ford and because of this I cannot access that account. I just got an email that I can order a New Lightning, if I wish, but I can't access that page either. I was gonna pass on that for other reasons but this fiasco has soured me on Ford completely and I definitely will not be ordering that $90k truck, or another Ford at this time.

Been a big Ford fan for many years and was looking forward to another perhaps. Now......I'll be looking at other brands.

Anyway....I have a case number and have had 3-4 conversations that did not help or were loaded with miss-information and nothing has been resolved. I can only assume optiwatt is my issue and I have deleted my info and sent them an email to delete my account. Can Ford tell me which app is bugging them? I don't know 🤷‍♂️ They haven't so far.

My car was in the body shop for 3 weeks and 2 days before I pick it up I find I'm locked out. My FP app on my phone was working fine when I drove the car home yesterday, PAAK worked, etc..... Last night just before it was scheduled to charge FP logged out on my phone. My wife checked hers and she was still online, she uses her email for hers. So, I looked in to FP using her email and I now have FP back on my phone but I have not checked to see how it reacts with the car, I'd assume it will be fine but who the hell knows at this point.

As others have said, Ford has dropped the ball on this issue big time. A simple email with even a hint of explanation would have gone a long way. NO, instead, they cut you off with no explanation and customer service has not been helpful, at least in my case.

Excuse me while I call them back and plan to spend the day on the phone................

Well, I spent a bit of time on the phone with Ford today and it got me pretty much no where.

Sure, the lady was much nicer than the other lady I spoke with a day or so ago and she generated another case number, but I'm still not back in.

I tried PAAK using my wife's email address to login and it didn't work. I'll try it again but I think I'm back to the FOB until this BS gets sorted out.

As mush as I really don't want to, I'll be shopping around for another vehicle. I did not want to do this for another 2 years or so, but, Ford has really pissed me off over this and I'm ready to move on. Maybe I'm just pissed of and being rash but I am certainly THIS đź‘Ś close to jumping ship.

(I do know that's an OK emoji but it was the closest thing I could find ;))

The problem continues. I was locked out with code CSIAH0320E as well. I called Ford, they are escalating the issue. Who know how long this will take.
I just spoke to the FordPass Guide who called me back after the escalation. It sounds to me like they are guessing.

"Maybe it is some sort of home automation app. Please delete every home automation app to see if that works."

"It might be an external service. Please delete your Recurrent app as well."

"It also may be a service you have for getting a discount to charge the vehicle."

"By the way, if your account is reinstated and a violation is reported again your account will be locked out permanently."

"If you really want to use any home automation apps, maybe you just won't be able to use FordPass"

@Ford Motor Company: I bought a Mustang Mach E and an F-150 Lightning from you. The app has been working for a year and a half. I was using those automation apps before I bought either car. Why can't you tell me what is causing the issue and have me delete that one rather than turning my smartphone into a dumb phone?

I'm really questioning Ford's ability to handle the technology they are selling.

I chatted with Ford support once, and called twice. Each time they were supposed to create a report which was to result in their contacting me. Nothing has happened. From what I’ve read here, as well as my experience, they seem to have no process for fixing locked accounts.

The people on the phone aren't IT professionals with specialist training in network traffic analysis to tell you which specific company on the internet is spamming their servers. Can you tell who's pinging your router at home? It's very hard to figure out what organization IP traffic comes from, especially if it's foreign. They are just going to tell you what possible things it could be, which they did. The offender apps I listed previously fall into those categories they told you. I can't fault them for not being more specific because they just don't have the information to figure out the exact app.

It's up to you to know which apps you dole your password out to, not Ford.

If you are worried about this happening to you, just change your FordPass password, and anything that stops working afterwards is an offender.

None of those home automation apps they told me to delete are connected to my Ford vehicles in any way. They don't control the car or the truck. They aren't controlled by the car or truck. I haven't given them my Ford password.

Problem: I can't sign into any of my Ford accounts so I have no way to change the password. If I could sign into the accounts, there wouldn't be a problem.

OK, it seems like they were given a list of categories and have taken a broad personal interpretation of what apps fit into those categories. I think they should have been given a specific list of offender apps like I've listed, but maybe their info isn't as good as what we have.

No, you can't change your password once you're locked out, it's too late. But after you get your account back you may want to change it just to be safe in case there is some lingering app using it.

Didn't you identify Recurrent as the reason you are locked out?

No. I can confirm I had signed up for Recurrent and folks here said it was a problem that could cause this.

The Ford Guide I talked with seemed to only have a partial list of what might be the problem and said she thought it was the home automation software as I described above. She indicated the offending queries were from my phone.

TBH I’m really not sure but would put my money on Recurrent.

Gotta love this trend of buying things but not really owning them. It wouldn't be that bad if Fords own apps were good. But fordpass is a sluggish pile of crap that feels more like a high school project than a production application.
