Radio presets resetting

For the fourth time in 4-1/2 months that I have had my Mach-E the radio presets have reset to what they were when I drove it off the lot.

when I took delivery I enthusiastically set all the stations to my preferences.

the first time it reset, I was annoyed and only set the first two rows to what I listen to.

the third time, only the two Sirius stations that I really listen to.

this time, one station.

the one good thing is that it does not reset FM presets, so what I listen to 95% of the time have been right where I left them.

the bad thing is that one of the defaults is Fox News, which makes me nauseous just seeing it in a car I own.

The bottom line is that when Sirius asks me to start paying them for something I rarely use, its not happening. I know is is ford's fault, but it is at the point that it is unusable to me.

has anyone else been frustrated by this behavior?

there are so any other inconsistent/unreliable problems that, having spent 40 years working in the software field, I really wonder who Ford has hired to do their coding.

This exact same thing has begun happening to our Premium AWD as well. My presets seem to be unaffected with my profile. Profile 2 is my wife and 3x now her presets have totally and randomly change to include *gasp* Fox news. Gone is Howard 100 and all of her Sirius music presets and news...replaced with county music presets and the dreaded Fox news...Def Gemlins in the machine. I resorted to taking a pic for memory and having to manually reset the presets.. quite annoying

After owning my MME for a year, my Sirius presets have been randomly changing for the last two months. I'm guessing some software update has gone awry. I keep hoping one of the new updates will fix this.

I am yet to have this issue in my MME Premium. I think what helped is I didn't set up Ford Pass when I got the car, I used the guest/default profile it gives you in the car and set up my presets, etc. I then added it to Ford Pass and synced it all up and created my profile. I think what happens is the car defaults back to the guest presets at times, which can be those random ones or none at all. You should try changing the guest one to either of your preferences and see if that helps.

I had this problem and it really PO'd me. Each car comes with a SiriusXM introductory Platinum package. I reset my favorites a few times and then tried calling SXM during the holidays, which was a mistake. My first contact by phone was very heavily accented and once I finally got through to him what I wanted, he connected me to another person that I absolutely could not understand. I hung up and waited until about a week to 10-days ago. I finally emailed them to remove to Platinum package. I think that it actually worked.

YMMV but all my radio preset issues were fixed with 1.7.1.

This happened twice in my first week or so of owning the car, then happened again today. It’s very frustrating!

Just did it again today. Argh! My carefully chosen and ordered stations were replaced by a bunch of random stations.

First world problems I know but I didn’t even drive over the weekend so it reset the very next drive after I fixed it.

(Also nothing against L L Cool Jay but do I really need his station twice out of my 15 presets? Lol)

It also is happening to me. It's very annoying I go in and change it to my wife's profile and then change it back and everything works fine but you shouldn't have to do that

Happens to me randomly as well. If Fox makes you nauseous you must be drinking coolaid if the other don't..

It’s a shame to see that this old post is still relevant. We got our 2022 Premium in late July and have repeatedly had the same problem. We know it happens when fox shows up. We immediately overwrite that with MSNBC, but doing full resets is tiring and my shoulder gets fatigued.

The longest I’ve gone without having to reset them is a couple weeks. Now I can barely go a day. What gives???

Ocsssionly my MME shuffles the SiriusXM labels but leaves the presets in the correct order. Luckily it eventually self-corrects after a day,.

Has anyone found a fix for this? What happens to me is the preset icons are incorrect but actually go to the correct stations. Happens maybe once every few weeks.

After having this happen a dozen times, I reset them AGAIN, and then saved them to profile #3, which was unused. I have still had them chang3 to the default, but just pressing either profile #1 or #3 brings them back while driving without affecting anything else. I can even press my wife’s #2 without the seat and mirrors adjusting to her settings bec the car is in motion. It has worked for weeks now, but can’t Ford figure this out?
