Recall 25S65 OTA Update Rolling Out

I woke up this morning and my 2024 SR RWD Premium not in Early Access is receiving the OTA for the door recall. Just a heads up to keep an eye out for anyone like me who hasn't been able to make it to a dealership to have installed yet.

Danged, just this morning dealer mobile service installed. I mean it was free and easy but OTA is easier.

Whoohoo! I am almost at 10,000 miles and was contemplating which dealer to use for my first service and hopefully establish a relationship with. I was wondering if I would get some song and dance about not being able to do the update via mobile service. I have seen many people post that mobile service did it in 20 or 30 minutes. Others have said the dealer expected them to leave the car at the dealership. OTA eliminates that whole discussion!!

Our car is programmed to do the update tonight.

I looked at the software updates section on my car and it said it was going to update at 1am on Monday, but there was the option to start it immediately so I did. It only took about 20 minutes.

I'm still waiting on my "Centered Speedometer" update!!! So, at this pace will get the recall update sometime in 2029. Ugh!!! Ford, I want my Centered Speedometer Update!!!!

Update done. But Ford website still says I have to do the recall. I guess I'll need to visit the dealer ?

Allow at least a few weeks for Ford's databases to synchronize.

Mine updated last night. Here is what the app on my phone looks like afterward. The Software Updates tab in the care also gives the details of the update, but the pic I tried to attach is doing freaky things so I deleted it.

It took my dealership 3 days to get it done. 2 of those were the car sitting and waiting for the 1 tech who can do software updates.

Do you have all of the driver assist features turned off? Adaptive cruise, lane centering, etc.?

It won't recenter unless all of those are off.
