Just tried this on my Job 2 Prem 4X and it worked great!

One note though, to get to the SiriusXM settings tab, you need to be on SiriusXM before heading to the Settings. Even if your sub is expired. If you're on FM you won't get the settings entry.

A bit awkward, but works great non the less - now Ford just needs to give us a proper way to do this easier. Safety should be fine as they lock the screen when you start moving anyhow.

The fast lazy fix is to boot SiriusXM from the car. Ford- just give the people what they want. We wait longer than teslas at lame chargers. I don’t always have an iPad with me. Why is mommy and daddy Oval not letting us watch TV while stopped? I will run my hotspot if you don’t want to cover it. This is getting stupid. A advanced patent needed for pet mode and no TV.

There are so many Ford employees on this forum and lurking here, I’ll guarantee they already know about it.

If so, they clearly read selectively and not address the real issues about poor pre-delivery communication and ADM and other predatory dealer practices. Notice that Farley warned dealers against holding back on Lightening allocations but I don’t recall seeing similar warnings for other Ford vehicles getting hit ADM (I may have missed it). let’s face it, it’s all about big brother Lightening in the long run.

He's also worried that Ford will shut it down, which is laughable they would issue an OTA that quick to fix it.

It the patch comes at the same rate as the BlueCruise it might be patched by 2025.

Netflix Error M7701-1003
If you get the error code M7701-1003 on your computer with the following message:

It means part of your browser needs to be updated, or is being blocked by a security setting or program. Follow the steps below to fix the problem.

Your car isn't enabled for Netflix's DRM which is registered at the processor level. I doubt whatever automotive-specific SOC Ford is using has WideVine support and is certified by Netflix.

This might take a little longer for them to patch because Ford has to talk with Sirus, and Sirus has some legal obligations to show that link to Google Analytics Policies, and I'm sure this isn't the number one thing for Google to change. Has anyone looked at the user agent for the browser? Is it one that they can use to serve a different page?

There’s no legal obligation for the link to be hyperlinked or for that page to be displayed on your radio. Easy fix.

This show it works. Hope Ford gives official install after this. It could work when the car is in park. Easy to program.

Can confirm. In the US and tested with a captive portal WiFi and won't load.

Looks like it's possibly even Chrome based from the error.

Also: Why doesn't Ford just enable this as a feature, even if they tethered it to a data plan? Safety seems there to disengage over 5mph, feels like a slap in the face to need to find methods like* this.

I can't get it to use my WiFi, because that's exactly what i was going to do. Just change the host entry on DNS to redirect to my own website at home. It shows connected to wifi, but I don't see any traffic or DNS lookups on my network from the car's WiFi IP address.

If you have XM360 turned off in the Connectivity Settings, that's the message you'll get instead of the page loading.

With No SiriusXM subscription this is what I see. If you click on the Subscribe button it takes you to the same webpage with the Privacy Policy link.

YouTube works great. No Netflix or Amazon Prime Video. Hopefully this get released rather than disabled.
