Thanks. Do you have the instructions for the rapid fire programming? Too many time frames. Do I still wait 5 seconds for each key? Or do I just push the start/stop button rapidly for each key and then immediately change keys? Confused.
Instructions are the same, just no 5 second wait. The wait seemed to have messed me up where if I didn’t wait it worked on the first try. ?‍♂?

Agree, don't wait 5 seconds. I think the actual instructions are "within 5 seconds".

Tried everything. It reads the first 2 keys but instantly says programming failed when putting in the "new" key. Ordered a new lightning key with frunk button off of eBay. Hopefully that will program correctly. Thanks for your help.

I had the same issue. Try rebooting sync and then doing the fast method as described above. Rebooting sync worked for me.

Taking delivery of a second Mach-E in a few weeks. My original Mach-E only has 1 Key Fob. My new Mach-E will have 2. My son and my wife will be sharing the original Mach-E. Does anybody know if the dealership can take one of the Key Fobs from my new Mach-E and reprogram it for my original Mach-E?
You should check your ford.com account, Ford gave me a second key last year because the Ford pass app was so terrible.

I hate to beat a dead thread but I've done everything possible to program a key from my previous Mach-E and a newly purchased key. Programmed slow, fast, mixed speed, rebooted sync, new batteries in the fob, everything! I consistently get the key code on the screen after the second original key is read but then instantly get a key program failed as soon as I touch the start button with the new key in the center console slot. Any other suggestions before I end up getting ripped of by the dealer? This should have worked.

A locksmith will usually charge much less than a dealer.

If you haven't paid anyone for this yet (realize it's been a couple of weeks), after you put the new key in the slot, press the start ONCE. The car will not turn on this time. Leave the new key in the slot and it will program after about 5 seconds. Don't know if you were doing it, but I pressed start twice at this step since the car never turned on the third time. Won't program if you do that.

I tried every combination to program the key(s). Nothing worked. Brought it to a pro locksmith. He couldn't do it with his computer system (fortunately didn't charge me). Out of frustration, I had a local Lincoln dealer program the 2 keys I wanted. One new Lightning type and one from my 2021 Mach E. Charged $185.00. IMHO, worth it since I spent hours trying and the level of frustration was mounting. But thanks for responding. This site is great.
