Has anyone experienced a fault in the drivers side seatbelt buckle sensor? (not the warning after someone exits the rear seats)

Yes. Dealer wound up replacing the drivers seat belt mechanism,
and did some software stuff. I think there is a TSB or something like it out. Car was in warranty at the time. It won’t go away on its own, but is a known problem. BTW, it’s the only thing that has gone wrong, at least up til now, and i have 43,000 miles on it.

It’s a fairly common fault on any makes/models.

It’s usually caused by wear or damage to the seatbelt plugs and/or wiring harnesses due to seat or other movement under there.

Two weeks ago I started getting the same Restraints indicator Lamp Warning message. It clears after turning the car off and intermittently comes back.

In the past I have have a great experience and relationship with my local dealership, however for this issue they said this wouldn't be covered under warranty since I am about 700miles over the warranty now.

Other than this recent warning message, my family has been very happy with the Mustang Mache.

If you had the car serviced at a dealer on time every time there surely must be some goodwill offer by Ford.

Those who skimp on servicing thinking they know better lose out??‍♂

I was reminded that FORD is very strict on the rules on warranty. I can't knock the dealership for this, it is however disappointing.

That's why I don't give a Dealer any more money than necessary.
I rotate my own tires.
