Ford's holding off on releasing this feature, as they realize that there's a non-trivial chance of their cars killing pets due to a contactor failing open on a car that's also plagued by the LVB SoC issues. HVB fails>LVB fails minutes later>Temperature skyrockets/plummets>dead pet

@Ford Motor Company should be ashamed that they've developed Pet Mode but haven't yet rolled it out to MME owners. Tesla has had Dog Mode in all its vehicles from Day One!
Actually Dog Mode wasn't introduced until someone tweeted at Elon in 2019. As he does, he tweeted back "yes" and it was implemented quickly after.

That said, it's a great feature and I'd like to see it deployed to the MME.

That is interesting. I did run across this graphic the other day of updates for a year. We should do something similar for the MME.

The list exists already.

Since I got my car I’ve gained BlueCruise, expanded CarPlay, and CarPlay directions on the binnacle. Those are all great. I also got those games and doodle mode which is… eh.

But don’t say nothing has happened. It has. And I expect it to continue.

Rivian and Ford are operating from different circumstances and at different scales, likely with different prioritie.

I like my car, I'm happy with my car. Just to get that out of the way. But let's be honest here, Ford (and Jim personally) went out of their way to talk about how different this car would be. I've had my car for a year and a half now and it is still missing things talked about over a year ago. Yes, BlueCruise made it, still no Alexa from the May 2021 article. I think it is fair for us to compare Ford to Tesla/Rivian in regards to software because they told us to when they marketed the car.

I didn't start this to be another battle thread. I do think it is important to continue to acknowledge that the reality has been far, far from what Ford told the press about this car when they were selling it though.

If that was really true, Ford would never have implemented "Unbridled Extend" mode, since there's a non-trivial chance of their cars killing drivers and passengers due to reckless performance driving!

I agree. You bought the car as it is/was. Don't complain about features it does not have since you are the one who made the decision to buy it. IF you don't like it, then sell it. There is a line of buyers wanting this car.
That's right.
Rather than hoping Ford enables dog mode, I just bought a Tesla model Y instead. Just did a 2200 miles trip with my dog.

Were the Supercharges broken often, like the EA ones I have tried to use? Sounds like a big trip, hopefully it was pretty good.

Quite uneventful. Did 5 hotel overnight charging and 9 supercharging. All worked without any issues. Never waited at a supercharger station, actually always arrived with less than half full, even during July fourth long weekend. All supercharger stations I stopped by had at least 8 stalls, while EA stations I used before all were 4 stalls.
Overnight hotel chargings were equally easy. Always worked and most just myself charging there.

That is great, thanks for sharing. I keep seeing news articles how there are long lines at Superchargers, nice to hear a real world experience instead of some news article :)

Those news articles probably true. But you don't make news by having an easy charge. You only make to news and go viral if there's a long line, even it only happens at couple of thousands charging stations at a specific time.

Both ABRP and Tesla shows availability of chargers, there were indeed couple of times they showed chargers full, but all freed up when I arrived.
