Securialert keeps turning on / Ford Support Question

This one has been a minor annoyance for over a month now but not really worth posting. It finally added up today.

My Securialert keeps turning back on. I have deleted any schedule I ever had, made sure it is off, yet it keeps coming back. Sometimes it is the same day, sometimes it is 3-5 days. All of the sudden I get in the car and poof I am notified I opened the door (no s$#% Sherlock). It says it is on and I have to turn it off.

Has anyone had any luck reaching Ford support for software glitches like this? I cannot imagine going in to my dealer and trying to explain it.

I've been seeing the same issue, started after the p22 dealer update. I had thought it was something to do with the FordPass/server connection because for me I usually cannot change the setting as the app cannot connect to the server. The on setting switches to off once connectivity is reestablished. Or it's just random, hoping another update will correct the issue, doubt the dealer would be able to address it in any way.

I have a related, but opposite problem. I can’t set the schedule for Securialert in the FordApp. I continually get at “FordPass is not connected” error when I attempt to save a schedule. Otherwise, Securialert doesn’t stay off and gives me dozens of alerts all day when I am using my MME and opening doors, frunk, etc. Does @Ford Motor Company havw a solution for these problems?

For me, this feature wouldn't turn on for the longest time. Then, it turned on, but would turn off without notice or reason. Now, after 2.3, it stays on as I want it.

I believe this is 150% the same old FordPass <> Ford Servers issue. The end result is a lack of reliability and customers not believing that functions will be reliable at any point, so they won't use them or won't trust them.

How do I check if I have the 2.3 update? My MME is a Job 2 built in September 2021 and delivered on 1/3/22. The dealer told me they applied all the updates before handing over the car, and I have not received any OTA yet.

You don't. There is no way to see the latest update on your car.

It is highly likely that FordPass is having issues with the servers. Make sure you're updated to the latest FordPass version.
