I am the proud new owner of a gorgeous (glacier gray) 2024 Mach E GT, after trading in my 2018 Tesla 3 (good riddance to bad juju!). I own a Tesla 220v charger at home and purchased the adapter. All good. I started charging, assuming I could set the limit on the Ford app but I see no place to do that. (Tesla app had a slider you could move for charges in progress.)

I had to watch the progress and stop it manually when it got to 90%. Surely there is a better way.

Any help is appreciated on how I can set a charge limit at home and can you change the limit on a charge in progress?

You had to charge it once from the desired ā€œhomeā€ location and then save it to set up the parameters.

Honestly this charge app and design is terrible and pathetic. But be warned, this group will attack you because this is all they know. It Could easily be so much better but it’s not worth discussing here because you’ll be attacked. You just learn to live with the weak charge settings in this car..

Also, stopping in the app is temporary.

I've mostly seen "the ford software is barely sufficient garbage but the car is so great I'm happy anyway.". Like, dozens of posts to that effect.

I don't think I've seen a single post praising the software

Though I've seen quite a few "it works like this, stop complaining and learn how to use it." Posts

Edit: to be clear I think the software is garbage

Fun fact - if you read the forums / Facebook pages for every EV on the market, they all have something in common:

- Hatred of the app
- Same vehicle issues (HVB, 12v battery)
- Dealer problems

Thanks for the honesty. I’ll be delicate with members. I LOVE my new GT and gave me such a thrill when I saw it light up the ground with a mustang last night for the first time.
Thank you all for the advice.
