Thanks. Just got a quote to have the side stripes added to my Rapid Red.
If you don’t mind me asking, what did a shop quote you? Wondering if all my DIY effort was worth the money saved. ?

Here in Las Vegas the company I’m using charges $250 for the 2 stripes. I paid the same 6 years ago for stripes on my 2015 Ruby Red Mustang.

In today’s episode of Murse-In-Airy’s DIY Detail and Vinyl Shop;
I finally received the the stripes for the Wife’s car yesterday. So I started by detailing her car. Washed, Clayed, Polished, Isopropyl wipe, and two coats of Ceramic from Chemical Guys. Before and After Below:

Since I didn’t put the same effort into detailing hers (she doesn’t care as much and won’t take care of it anyway) I finished early and had time.
Along with her stripes, yesterday’s shipment included some more stripes for mine.

WHAT?
MORE STRIPES you say?!?!?

Ladies and Gentlmen, let me introduce you to SIDE STRIPES:

This should really het the “Not a Mustang” crowd going. ?

Had to remove the badging as going below the badging out the stripe right through the faux lower door seam. And going above the badging was just too high for side stripes. So after the stripes were laid I put the badging back on.
Again, pretty proud of how this came out considering last month I had never detailed a car nor touched a piece of vinyl. The side
Stripe kit was for a 2015 mustang coupe so I had to make a splice between two pieces in the middle of the back door. Again CKWraps YouTube channel showed me what to do and the seam is invisible unless you know where to look.
I do believe my car is done now. On to hers.

Hey this looks great. I was wondering how it will look since the accents on the side are inclined and at an angle. Quick question any particular reason why you didn't just put the red stripe over the Mach E logo with a cutout around that area of course.

Because I orders the stripe that said “Mustang” and the Mach-E emblems would have been right in the middle of that. It only took about 30 seconds to remove the emblems and 3 minutes to put them back on. Even if I hadn’t gotten the stripes that said Mustang, a cutout around the Mach-E emblem would have looked half-asses in my opinion. So I would have removed the emblems, laid the striping, then put the emblem back down on top of the stripe.

waaat. noo! but you are my inspiration. how will i know what to do next now (but i agree, we dont want to overdo it).
I think I’d leave yours alone Anush. It looks fantastic. The LED under glow adds color from the sides. My wife declined side stripes on hers. And I agree with her as well. The black just needed some dressing up from the side.

Also, since you’re here, saw your plate on fb. Do you own a restaurant? Or just really love Biryani? Either way… it’s clever and I love it.

It's like pulling teeth to get you to post pictures ?
Did I hear someone say “Pulling Teeth?” At your service! Wait, I’m an endodontist not on oral surgeon so ignore my last remark please. ?

In my mind you had bought your Biryan-E by selling Biryani.
