Post the recall that was supposed to allow me to drive the car afterwards.

Driving home three hours ago I had the car lurch forward and start flashing back to back errors. Wheels lost power and I'm just steering with momentum. I was able to pull over into a shoulder maybe 2 miles from home. Pulled up the stickied post, requested a Ford roadside. Waited 3 hrs only to have Ford tell me the "service provider" isn't responding.

I've been stuck in a not so good area with a dead car that I can't even drive home. Skipping the fear/anger/annoyance since it's been 3 hours. I just want to get the car off the road and go home. I could walk there but I'm not leaving the car alone.

My 2022 bingo card has been crazy this year, I think this might get me bingo.

You might want to try and see if you can get a local good tow company out. Ford will reimburse the tow.

Thanks for the advice. The second tow company did show up but it was 2:30am when the whole thing happened at 8pm. The car got towed over to the dealership.

Conyers Ford. They've worked on my Mame's brake issue since I got it and they mentioned they have over a dozen MMEs they service.

The dealership is telling me that since I'm over 36k miles I can't get a rental. They gave me the
1 800 393 3673

Number of Ford customer service to get approval for a rental. I thought this was covered by Ford as it's a known issue?

I think the service advisor knew that. The issue is going to be approval for a rental since the car is over the 36k mile coverage for rentals
