Forum has been quiet with any big news or coming updates recently, what's everyone expecting to happen in the next few months?

I don't know what's actually going to happen...

I'd like to see Toyota announce an all-electric or PHEV option for their 2024 redesigned Tacoma with 6500 pound towing and AWD. I don't think it'll happen because they're still a couple decades behind.

I'd like to see Ford announce both the Maverick and the Ranger will have an all-electric or PHEV option in 2024, with AWD and at least one having 6500 towing capability. I don't think it'll happen.

I know these are fantasies, but that's what I'm waiting for. Either those become available or we buy a second Mustang in the next three years and keep our tow vehicle.

I predict many new owners getting very exciting and screaming, "WOW my range has gone way up with warm weather". I tell people about owning an EV in New England, its good in the winter, its AMAZING in the summer

Yeah, I'm really hoping for a full Mach-E refresh tech-wise this year. Dreams would be 800v charging and V2L.

I agree - nothing big happening.

The next "big" things for forum community I'd expect are:
  • BC 1.2 rolling out - summer
  • Production ramping up - summer... how nice not to wait a year.
  • More price shocks from Tesla
  • First LFP batteries hit the street - summer
  • 24 MME facelift - summer

Definitely seems like BC 1.2 will be the next rollout, curious how many OTAs that will take, just like BC 1.0 rolled out

I'm hoping Ford will announce a full BEV flat towable version of the Maverick.

But I know that won't happen anytime soon, if ever.

The Maverick is such a cool little truck, does it offer any sort of V2L on the current versions?

The first Android cars will be a big deal. (going from QNX to Android operating system)
Yeah, I think especially if they are using that same Unreal Engine UX like on the ICE mustang update

We might see some CarPlay Gen 2 news coming in June. Apple is expected to announce vehicles this year with them rolling out at the end of the year.

I don't expect to find out how many OTA pushes it will take. As soon as it's available in FDRS, I'll install it.

Maverick is either ICE or hybrid only (not even plug-in hybrid).

I believe there is a 15a 120V outlet inside the cab but that is about it.

It makes sense, however, since the Maverick is a "low cost" option.

A PHEV or BEV Maverick would push its price well out of that "low cost" tier.

I am just looking forward to the ice to start melting here in Fairbanks!

As far as EV’S I am interested to see what the Lincoln EV looks like but I bet that is at least a year out.
