Annoying as hell. I mean yes we all know it’s friggin cold outside, evident by, well everything. In other cars the damn thing turns off after a couple minutes of driving. Not on the Mach-E. It stays on for 5 months.
It needs to be like the weather service frost warning, where you get it for the first big frost of the year in case you forgot to cover or bring your sensitive plants inside, then you don't need to see it again until next winter.

First time seeing the follow warning light on my dash. It took some time finding a explanation of what it meant, so i thought I would post its meaning here.

Snowflake Dashboard Warning Light Explained

That snowflake dashboard light, or frost warning light is a temperature warning. The snowflake warning light automatically illuminates on the dashboard in yellow/amber when outside temperatures fall close to freezing at around 3°C (37°F) or below.

On some vehicles, the warning light may turn red when temperatures fall below zero degrees Celsius. Although the warning light will go off when the temperature rises above this threshold, there may still be low lying areas of road that may have frost cover.

This is the frost warning light. The symbol of a snowflake and road lane markers is commonly used by many vehicle manufacturers to warn of low temperatures and the potential danger of icy road conditions.
The BMW X6 I traded in had a triangle warning at 37 degrees also.

Well, I'll thank you, John, if few others will. I haven't seen that one yet and never owned a car with this warning. I imagine I'll be seeing it this week since we will have our first high temps in the 30s.

I used to have this warning when I first got our GT (Oct 2021), took in for modem service and software update and somehow it went away. Very annoying hope it never comes back.

My impression of this light as a northerner (we have persistent ice and snow for months at a time):

"No sh*t, Sherlock!"

This is like giving a Floridian a warning light to tell them it's raining. Or an Arizonan a warning light to tell them it's hot outside.
